On a different note, did anyone catch the Oscars last night? What a train wreck, and not in a good way. It's hard to even imagine a host who could make James Franco's stint as host seem pretty decent, but Seth Macfarlane did just that. He was horrendous...

Apparently upgrading just the front of the house with faux cedar shingles is an extra 1500. Woof. We're swapping out the Trex($) on the front porch for sealed/stained pressure treated and going for the cedar though. I'd rather have the upgraded siding than a tiny porch. It looks boss. Hopefully the cedar, the extra window in the attic, and the upgraded cabinets are the only upgrades we end up with. This crap is getting expensive.

I didn't watch any, but I find that hard to believe. I've never seen a full episode of Family Guy, but from all the hype I always believed MacFarlane to be a comedic genius or something.

He really was terrible. Clearly his pop culture references and jokes only work well when he's got time to tie them in. Instead, he came off as snide and stiff. Really unfunny. It's funny because I saw him host SNL a few months ago, and he was very similar, so when they said he was doing the Oscars, I figured it would be bad. I didn't realize how bad though. If they really wanted to have some fun, they should bring in Ricky Gervais. That guy is hilarious on awards shows, even if the stars hate him.

Weird, I always thought MacFarland was meant for sketch comedy. But I never saw the SNL so I'll take your word for it. The guy has some good jokes, but he cant string more than a few minutes at a time together. Probably the most overrated guy in comedy.

To me, it comes down to a comfort level of performing live. He just came off as stiff on both the Oscars and SNL. His show is really clever, but doing a cartoon, and performing live are two different animals. He just looks out of sorts up on the stage.

I love browsing other teams sites, keeps me grounded when frustrated here with a consistent panic about player X,Y or Z is taking place. You want the best laughs? You want to see/read a fan base in disbelief, and in an amazingly candid amount of displeasure aimed at Torts.............gotta check out the Rags site.

Paraphrase on one fan "what system?, block shots and stretch passing"

Too funny

Leafs fans on the main boards think Fransen and Beauchamin are better than Chara.

I have it on DVR but I haven't watched it yet. I'm really not familiar with McFarland (watched a couple of episodes of Family Guy and was not impressed) but all the pre-show talk was that he was going to be great, so that's interesting.

IMHO you can't beat Billy Crystal. Funny, quick-witted, at ease and self-deprecating. That's what the Oscars needs.
