It's more Alfie deserving the playoff chance with the Bruins, and all his buddies on the team (Kelly, Chara, etc...)
Of course he deserves a playoff chance, and the Bruins would give him a good one. I just don't want him to play for another team. He's Alfie.
Back on the topic of the thread, a sprain could keep Anderson out for a while. Sprains are awkward. Like others have said, the only positive is that Lehner might get some games. That guy is awesome.

Wow. What can you say? Not only does this pretty much mark the end of the Sens' season, but it also marks the end of Anderson's promising bid for the Vezina and maybe even Hart trophy.
Could be a high ankle sprain. Could be something else. I'm sure they'll take X-rays and possibly an MRI.
As someone who works in diagnostic imaging, xrays won't show anything. Your statement about a MRI is correct. He's probably on his way to Gatineau right now to get his scan.
Glad it's an ankle & not the knee although that hurts quite a bit too. It will be intersting to know how long he will be out after it is diagnosed & hope to hell he doesn't need surgery. Seven regulars out of the lineup in Ottawa & another three in Bingo seriously hurt in the organization, just unreal.
Spezza
Karlsson
Cowen
Anderson
Latendresse
Michalek
Regin
What the **** is going on here, the hockey gods must really hate us, first spezza, then Karlsson and now Anderson.
No, they LOVE us. This is adversity and too often in the past Ottawa just cruised past people with no opposition only to flop in the playoffs. This time it's different. They will getl as a team and they are greater than the sum of Karlsson, Andrson, Spezza. Just take one part away, we'll glue another one on.
We WILL beat Toronto and we WILL make the playoffs!
I confess, this is my fault. Last week after Karlsson was injured I told my best friend "this is the worst season ever, what? Next Anderson will have a serious injury?" I do assure you, although I was born and raised in NY and have never been to Ottawa I love the Senators. I'm relived that Anderson's injury doesn't appear to be to serious and we have goal-tending depth.
In between bleating about the Leafs, Sportsnet's coverage of the injury has progressed from Kreider slipped, to Methot tripped him, and Marek just said Methot pushed Kreider into Anderson.
Just get back to wondering why Kessel hasn't scored.
Craig Anderson @CraigAnderson41
another 2 pts. #bish stood tall - hard place to come in the game. Love the #alfie save in the 1st! My ankle's gonna be ok, be back ASAP.
Given what we had originally thought, a sprain is good news. At the same time, it could still be quite a while until he's back, depending on how bad a sprain it is.

As far as I'm concerned Krieder saw an opportunity to run Anderson and went for it.
I'm not saying intent to injure, I'm saying Methot's stick came across and he saw a chance to run Anderson and get out without being penalized.

Great news, Andy will come back to win the Vezina, Hart and Masterton
