Bob Mckenzie stated this am, there is a phone hearing for Hall for his knee-on-thigh hit with Cal Cutterbuck in last nights game against Minnesota.
He predicted 2-3-4 games. Justified if this is the case?
as an aside issue, Hall is the type of power player that likes to finish his checks, but this team seems to show its immaturity and inexperience at the most inopportune times. The game is out of reach at the time of the hit, why not make a statement earlier in the game? Is this an issue of veteran leadership, or lack thereof? Eager was banging, and now oilers will be without Hall for who knows?
It was definitely not a "knee" imo. But Lowetide had is right...it was definitely a "clip".
44.1 Clipping - Clipping is the act of throwing the body, from any direction, across or below the knees of an opponent.
A player may not deliver a check in a “clipping” manner, nor lower his own body position to deliver a check on or below an opponent’s knees.
An illegal “low hit” is a check that is delivered by a player or goalkeeper who may or may not have both skates on the ice, with his sole intent to check the opponent in the area of his knees. A player may not lower his body position to deliver a check to an opponent’s knees.
1 and that to much.. it was a hip check gone wrong, dont get me wrong he was looking to blow Cluterbuck up which i would love to see, but Hall just doesnt have the experance to hit that well just yet

Hall likes to finish his checks? He's thrown a whopping 10 hits all year.
