Because Barry Trotz would rather be sure vets play over young guys than win hockey games.

I'm not even kidding. Wilson was arguably showing the talent to be on our first line last year and Trotz scratched him in the playoffs.

I love Trotz, but this is one thing that drives me nuts.

Preds playing well so far. If they keep playing like that ... a goal lies on the corner !

This is the Preds you are talking about man, its like around the corner through the pit of bulletants that are carrying harpoons surrounded my a moat of crocodiles with lazer beams strapped to their heads.

1/2 way into the first period, we've had a lot more time in their zone than in any game I can think of this season.

Yeah. It's hard to pressure when your coach is intent on promoting a 4th liner to the second line and bumping your big, forechecking young winger.

Trotz takes AV to coaching school, grade 1.

Well said! I hope this does not take Blums confidence away, I thought he looked great out there, the games I saw

Smith has been playing really good this game. Best game I have seen him play so far.

Erat and Wilson are starting to look like 2/3 of an honest-to-god top line. Now we need to find them a center. Smith? Weiss? Getzlaf? Plekanec?

Two GREAT chances in 20 seconds. Our 1st power play unit is dangerous.

Great chances, still no goals.

Looked like Hornqvist hit his head on the post when he got shoved into the net there.

Best period we've had this season, minus the goals of course.

I would love to see us bring in another Hornqvist-type to go to the front on our PP2 unit, and fill in when Hornqvist gets hurt. Clowe?
