Well since Carter did skate today I'd say it will be Carter centering the 4th line if Pete decides to keep CBGB apart for now. If not then JJ, unless Marty doesn't make the trip then we don't have the roster space to keep Kinkaid up and bring up anyone? Would I be correct?

Not necessarily.
You're allowed to call up a goaltender twice a year under emergency circumstances in the new CBA. However, I'm not sure if Kinkaid's current call up is under "emergency circumstance" or if it's just a call up, to be honest.
If Marty doesn't travel Thursday can they make Kinkaid an emergency call up? Not sure how that all works.
They'd probably put Brodeur on IR retroactive 2/21, opening a spot. He'd be elgible to come off after the Winnipeg game on 2/28 (must wait 7 days from 2/21 to be activated) and when healthy Kinkaid would be sent down.
Of all the joke of 1st lines that we've had throughout the season (Matteau? Really? Seriously? Are you ****in kidding me?) This is probably the one I like the most. It could be a total failure, but it's really worth it.

i dont think i want kovy as captain. itll prob happen, and i guess i wouldnt care, but id rather he just went out and scored ze goals and had no added pressure like that on him. not sure who the next choice is, maybe trav but i dunno. id prefer patty, but he doesnt want that ****.
Like I said, I wouldn't mind giving Volch a breather for Harrold but if he wasn't benched during the Florida series, I don't see it happening unless he really ***** the bed. Which contrary to many here's belief, he hasn't done so.

We could only hope. At this point I'm thinking Kovy was not given the captaincy because of PR ******** after the KHL thing. I'm not the first one to bring this up either. It would have looked stupid to give Kovy the C after telling his Russian fans he wanted to finish the season there. The whole thing with the media there was overblown anyway.
If Kovy didn't wanna be here we would be seeing the Johnilya Macvalchuk. Despite the points drought earlier in the season we're not seeing that player. We're seeing the real Kovalchuk.
That 4th line scares me...the other 3 look solid especially the Kovy one.
I really hope that Volch sits next game. He has been awful and Winnipeg has some quick guys. Wheeler impressed me especially last game. He is deceptively fast.
This D should be given a look but we'll never see Volch and Talls in the press box together (or will we?):
Greene-Larsson
Zidlicky-Salvador
Fayne-Harrold
It would be ideal if we could package Tallinder or another D not named Greene, Larsson, or Fayne with one of our plethora of 3rd line forwards (who are scattered in parts of our top 6 and bottom 6) for a guy who can chip in 18-20+ goals a season (in a full year).

Clemmensen was an emergency callup for three months lol. Not sure if they changed the rule in the new CBA, I'm guessing not, and you still can make goalies emergency callups if you only have one healthy goalie.

I am 100% convinced Pete will not bench Volch ever. I am in the camp that some on here are way to hard on his play this year (though be hard on the contract, it is a terrible contract), but he has had his fair share of mistakes that should of earned a seat in the box for a game. Its just never going to happen.

I want Harrold in the lineup. I'd rather it be for Volchenkov though. Not that Volchenkov has been abysmal, but if Fayne has seen the bench then Volch shouldn't be off limits. Salvador is because he's the captain.
Harrold should get some games in though. He's only got in 1 game out of 19 this year. He's on a one way contract, and has been just sitting on the roster. I like Harrold, and I want him back next year if Zidlicky, and Tallinder are gone. Perfect 7th defenseman. Remember when we were rolling Mark Fraser in that spot?

He won't see any NHL ice time for at least two weeks, for good reason.
Plus they brought him back up too quick the last time as it was. It would be so counterproductive to send him down a second time, then bring him back a second time before having any time down there when his game just keeps getting worse. Just call up Sestito for a game or two, it's not the end of the world. Or some other center. It seems like Carter's close so it doesn't have to be any kind of long-term callup.
