La - col

to la: landeskog

to col: brown, penner, pearson, 2014 1st

i proposed this in a kings forum but got shot down. brown can be a great player if he plays the north - south game. penner forms chemistry with anyone and pearson will be a backes/brown type of player.

landeskog would fit great on the top line with kopitar and williams and brings a power forward type game that's similar to brown.

what say you?

I see very, very little incentive for Colorado to give up Landeskog.

Landeskog's rookie season is on par with Brown's best seasons... the extra pieces don't come close to making up the difference.

This just makes no sense for both sides. I can't understand how anyone could logically make any sense of this or justify how either side benefits from such a move. It looks more like a move one would make in their fantasy hockey league.

Landeskog is as close to untouchable as it gets. Being the league's youngest captain means he's their guy going forward.

Penner forms chemistry with anyone? What? Is this the same Penner that has been scratched by LA this year and has 2 points?

There are too many temptations for Landeskog in Los Angeles. He'd be lured into the movie industry where he would play Surfer #3 in college movies.

No from both sides. Neither team trades their captain.

This doesn't really meet any of Colorado's needs right now. Brown is a good piece, but not for a rebuilding team.

No, not a chance. Ignoring the value, literally the last player the Avs would move is Landeskog. He is untouchable.

How the OP even came up with this and thought it was reasonable...

Landeskog will not be moved anywhere for any reasonable package.
He is our captain and should be an Av for life!

This king fans said no Despite landeskog a great young winger.

La gives up to much there young cheap captian who normally is top 5 in hits and adds 25 + goals who led the kings to there first cup. He was tied in playoff scoring last year with kopitar. Also apart of the kings core.

Pearson the kings second best young scoring prospect. He has a decent chance to make the kings next year. It s all depending on his play and what we do with gagne and penner. Young goal scoring wingers are something rare for the kings I dont want to trade him at all.

Penner while to most he doesnt add anything to this trade to most people. Im starting to like him he made a amazing pass to kopitar last game. Hes starting to show up in games. I think hes going to stay for the playoff run again.

Next the 1st in 14 I dont want the kings not drafting in the 1st round 2 years in a row. Right now we need more young talent in the system for that matter you can never have to much in the system.

Agree to disagree.

You give up a top 6, two way forward (who is your captain so sure he has more value to you), Penner (not much value), a mid to above prospect, and a late first for a franchise winger

ummm no brown is a top line forward who is always in the top 10 hits in the league. He would hold alot of value league wide. Maybe not as much as landeskog but the difference is not penner pearson and a 1st

Why would Colorado trade the face of their franchise? Even more puzzling why would they ever want to take on Penner? Unless the 1st round pick is 1st overall the Avs would never touch this.

Factoring in age, captaincy and the avs status as rebuilding still.... The difference is more than that.

I'm not the biggest Brown fan (though I give him the benefit of the doubt right now after watching him in the playoffs).

No way I would give up him and two firsts for Landeskog. I'm actually a big fan of that kid but the extra pieces are too much.

Pearson is developing nicely btw. Kid has hands and vision.
