what a joke of a penalty. These refs just killed our momentum, if this game goes 2-0, its gonna be bad

Can't explain this at all. He should be top 6, as much a some don't want to admit it but Gagner and Hemsky were getting more chances when he was with them and they were the Oilers top line at the start of the season. Makes me cringe when these guys think Smyth can play top line minutes plus special teams.

They are luring our forcheck into their d-zone to open up the pass to the neutral zone man, they are drawing us just inside the blueline and then are moving the puck laterally once to the far side making a short pass and quickly taking it to the middle just inside the n-zone.

They are trying to move us around one by one like Wayne used to do.

This team doesnt like to get hit, they like a smooth game, so lets get physical and disturb their cycleing.

On the forcheck we need to send one man in harder and deeper and faster, and we need to keep one man up in the n-zone waiting to pick off their outlet passes, they are using a solid defensive tactic and are using our forcheck against us, lets maybe keep our forcheck focused in the n-zone and not go into the o-zone forcheck so deeply when they try to lure us in. Lets take the short outlet pass away by taking the neutral zone position away, open ice hits will help in the n-zone.

Momentum, it never results in anything for the Oilers. So no loss.

It would be awesome if Paajarvi could become a top 6 player.

2 minutes for playing against an opponent who can't skate.

Nice to see Khabi start and Jonesy back. Prefer to see Peckham over Potter but hopefully it's just a conditioning issue.

have to admit - not having Hall out there has a missing presence to the team feel.

I say just load up one unit.

RNH, Eberle, Schultz, and Yakupov.

Put Jones in front of the net and let him hack away.

Leave them out the entire time.

Would be interesting to see our first and fourth line swap centers, RNH for VV.

Nuge looks good, nice hit.

Hartikainens days are numbered with Jones back. Seems good when in pursuit of the puck but not so much with possession
