Good point. Enjoy one of the most exciting player ever.

It depends a lot on Howard, if he lets in 2-3 softish, then ...

Why is this happening again ? What sort of indication are these players showing that they deserve top line minutes ? At least move Abs up and Flip down.
it's sort of funny.

abdelkader and cleary are not just very low scoring players. when they have been on the ice, DRW have barely scored.

abdelkader has been on the ice for only 2 goals all season. cleary has been on the ice for 8g.

The best they can help Datsyuk is if they do not skate in the offensive zone at all, or if they do then not touching the puck at all.

That is what they did in the last game against Nashville.

They sat back and let Pavel knock one predator on his ass and then let the defense collapse in on Pavel. Even with one Predator licking his wounds and the other four covering Pavel they somehow found a way to not be open for a pass.

If Howard lets in less than 3 goals, I will eat my hat.

If Kronwall isn't standing directly in front of him on at least 2 of them, I'll eat mine.

Yeah, I think those next 5 games are going to tell us a lot. We should start to get some guys back as well, I believe Mule is due back next week. At least we haven't had any stinkers like the opening night game. The hope is we can continue to be competitive and eek out a few wins and then start to win consistently as we get guys back from injury.

Don't know about Kronwall, but Patric Hörnqvist will be there. Hopefully not both.

Kronwall will just check Hornqvist into Howard. Problem solved

The more we drop games to bad teams, the more we have to beat good teams.

Thus this game is a must win. Just like last game LOL.

If we stretch this into a ten game losing streak, i think selling some of the bottom 6 UFA's is required.

you're telling me.
i expected that we could miss the playoffs this year and obviously that we're far weaker without nick and brad stuart. i can accept that. i accept that the D is going to have issues. i accept that injuries have played their part in messing things up. but i can't accept that datsyuk is being wasted in this way. the match the other night was so frustrating to watch because datsyuk was doing plenty of things right, but everything was fizzling out because his line mates will never be on the same wave-length as datsyuk and even if they were, they couldn't put the puck in the net anyway. cleary and abdelkader have a combined 34 games, 2 goals, 2 assists, -9, yet they still get to play with datsyuk and drag him down? the situation is crying out for nyquist and/or tatar to be playing with datsyuk, and i'd even have tried mursak there ahead of abdelkader.
i usually defend the team, holland and babcock, etc, but too many mistakes have been made in the last couple of years regarding signing personnel, and too many mistakes are being made right now regarding line combinations and who dresses each night. i just hope that they find a way to turn this round.

I remembered for years that people howled that Holmstrom was 'glued' to Datsyuk's side when he couldn't skate and was losing effectiveness. It finally came out that Datsyuk requested Holmstrom on his line - I don't know if that's the case with Abdelkader or Cleary but it sure seems odd.

Not like there's any other great combinations available with all of the injuries. Maybe Tatar and Emmerton or something just to reward Emmerton for his strong play. I don't know, it all sucks with the injuries.

You know how you can start a petition at the White House and after a certain number of signatures Obama has to address it?

Can we start one to get rid of Keating?

Micky : " I think even pavel was surprised how the seas parted there"

No Mickey pavel was surprised he actually received a pass from abdelkader

On that topic. Not a bad first shift for them.
