Guessing tomorrow. We'll get the usual "he'll be evaluated this afternoon and we'll have more for you after practice tomorrow" routine.

No news is probably good news right now. If it's anything serious, we'll hear pretty quickly.

I'd have to imagine the team will get an off day Monday after that weekend, so there might not be anything until after the morning skate Tuesday.

As an aside, we might as well turn this into the injury thread for everyone on the team. The Pens had been damn fortunate up until this point when it comes to injuries. Knock on wood.

This thread = sadness.

This team could really do without them for once.

At least we're not as screwed as Ottawa.

As mentioned in the PGT, some relatively comforting news from a reliable source:

Dave Molinari ‏@MolinariPG
Nothing official on Letang, but teammates say he apparently tweaked a leg problem that has been nagging him for a while.

If that's the case rest him till his leg is 100%. Even if that means getting him back the last week of the season or first series of the playoffs. We need him 100% for the post.

So should he fight through it?

Agreed. And this is the perfect time to give Despres big minutes. Disco needs to treat him like he would Letang right now and see how much he can handle.

In an ideal world, Despres can use this situation to ramp up toward his first playoff series and Letang is able to get some rest and get back to full strength.

No boot or crutches for Letang afterwards.
Looking like it's not too serious.

Sounds like that groin problem that was bothering him

Groin would fit what we saw when he was hunching over... has a player (in recent memory) been put on IR because of a sore groin? Usually not right?

if our team was tougher, would Boston have had the audacity to injure Letang? I can't believe nobody went after Marchand for being near Letang when he pulled something.

It's unfortunate, re: Letang, because he's clearly lost that 5th gear this year, and it seems like it's not going to right itself until the off-season. It's a shame. I'm torn. I want to win the cup, and I think some rest is in order for Senior Letanger, but I also want him to win the Norris. I know, individual awards mean nothing compared to the cup. I want both

Really? You're going to take offense to that? He looks a half step slower getting back to pucks. I'm sorry that offenses your sensibility.
