His performance in the SEC title game was pretty bad too.

Is this a risk? Sure, but i think it's one that is very worth it.

Jarvis jones has the ability and potential to be the best player from this draft. Offense or defense. He has every tool you want in a 3-4 pass rusher, he has the production against the level of competition that you'd like and he has the body type.

His only real issue is his condition. At the combine a neck specialist cleared him, an mri stated that there is no more narrowing in his vertebral column. He also cleared teams physicals.

Now onto the fun stuff:

Jones has so many tools that make him drool worthy. Not an athlete like say dion jordan, but tremendous burst, fluidity and functional strength. A sublime package. Has a good amount of pass rush moves (not a one trick pony like others in the draft nor are they underdeveloped), is stout against the run and has the ability to drop into coverage(though was rarely asked to at georgia).

He does have his weaknesses, ie could use his hands better, but alot of those are very coachable. With a coach like rex ryan, he should get the most out of a guy like jones.

Tennessee is on the clock.
awwwwww!!!!!

Uhhhh quick question, what happens if say Revis is traded to SF in real life? If we're following real life pick trades, I'm sure some of the picks SF already used to move up will be in the deal, what exactly happens in that scenario?

There goes the second guy from my three player shortlist. Good pick, he's going to be a solid pro (and more).

I hope so, because the Titans OL couldn't stay healthy last year at all & that is a must fix if they're all over the age of 30, which I believe they are

With the 12th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Miami Dolphins select

DE Ezekiel Ansah - BYU

The team needs to upgrade at DE and Ansah has tons of potential going forward to develop into a top tier DE with a excellent skillset/size that fits the 4-3 D the Dolphins run

The Carolina Panthers select Cordarelle Patterson, WR Tennessee

Steve Smith is still productive, but isn't getting any younger. Brandon Lafell is a good player, but not someone you want to rely on to carry your offense. I desperately wanted to take an offensive lineman here, but short of trading down there just wasn't anyone worth taking after they all went early.

Patterson's dream comes true.

I'd still like to trade down, so I'll leave it open for a bit, but I won't wait all night to pick

Would've traded up had I known.

Still looking to move up to the low 20s, PM me any offers.

With the 15th pick the New Orleans Saints select:

#49, 3-4 Rush OLB, Barkevious Mingo, LSU

You all know the story. By total yardage, the Saints were literally were the worst defense in NFL history. On top of that, they're changing schemes moving to a 3-4, with an overrated defensive coordinator. We're gonna need a bigger boat.

Why not go right up the road? Also, the Saints lack defensive players from the SEC, which in this day and age seems like a bad idea.

Since Roman Harper is only a linebacker in an alternate form of reality, and not the real one, we're going to have to take an actual linebacker and just cut Harper instead. Might as well give Rob Ryan someone who they can try to turn into DeMarcus Ware. Or at the very least, someone who can cover some ground and can actually tackle. Jon Casillas and Martez Wilson can compete for the spot on the other side of the alignment, although the loser may end up replacing Vilma who will probably be cut eventually. The Saints need to start working towards bringing in people who will allow them to not have to blitz 8 guys in order to (try to) get to the quarterback on every down.

With the 16th Overall Pick, the St. Louis Rams select, from the University of Alabama, Offensive Tackle

D.J. Fluker

Couldn't have said it better myself from NFL Draft Countdown

Fluker lacks the nimble feet required to play left tackle at the next level but offers elite potential on the right side, especially in a power blocking scheme. With Rodger Saffold and Fluker holding down the edges the Rams will have a quality set of bookends capable of keeping fragile franchise quarterback Sam Bradford upright.
That said, at this point Some other player would be the n'1 player on my list despite a poor combine. I think he'll be a terrific player. However, with Long and Quinn on the team, no need for him.

I tried to move down, as I think it's a bit of a reach getting Fluker that high but he fits what the Rams need.

Pittsburgh Steelers now on the clock
