Potential Montreal pickups at the deadline

From the players listed what would it take to acquire them and are they available. All are upcoming UFAs. These are players with a bit of jam I believe the team will need to put the team into a higher gear to be prepared possibly for the playoffs.

Douglas Murray
Ryane Clowe
Robyn Regehr
John Erskine - re-signed
Ladislav Smid
Raffi Torres - preferred choice
Ryan O'Byrne

Are you Bob Gainey ou Pierre Gauthier?

a 4th liner soon UFA for a center who had 60 points and a pick?

Ryan Clowe
for
Louis Leblanc + 5th

Might be an overpayment but I'm one of the habs fans that's not sold on Leblanc, the Sharks can have a crack at him. He still has potential so if the Sharks can turn his career around they'll win this trade in the long run and maybe even win big but for now Clowe would give us size and more depth scoring which will go a long way in the playoffs.

Leblanc has been dealing with injuries. there's no 'turning' his career around unless you mean he's gonna get healthier if he's traded to another team.

Come on man, don't you know the guy who will bring us to the promised land is Raffi Torres? WE NEED SIZE AND GRIT HOOORAHHHH.

These grit proposals are seriously getting ridiculous.

It would be nice if Phoenix just threw potentially useful players at us for nothing, but I don't think it works that way. It's probably an overpayment, but the magnitude of it depends on how you think Desharnais is going to do in the future. Overpayments happen.

And if I'm any terrible ex-Habs GM, I'm Rejean Houle.

Probably no more than a 2nd or prospect for O'Byrne.

Raffi Torres?! Preffered choice?! Why not Matt Cooke while you're at it!
Clowe I could live with.

i would like to get Torres. But Not for Desharnais.
unless Coyotes add. Torres would be playing on our
4th line with Moen and Armstrong i think.
lines would look good.
Cole - Chucky - Gallagher
Pacio - Pleky - Gionta
Prust - Eller - Bourque
Moen - Armstrg - Torres

Brendan Morrow also would be good. but hes already 35. and idk if
im ready to give Desharnais for a 35yr old player that will becone
a UFA next year..

I'd like a 3rd/4th liner who can play 10mins, not embarass himself and fight. I'd also like a 6th d-man who can do the same.
