I'm expecting a 9-1 win over Chicago. Gagner held off the scoresheet... everyone else goes to town.

Only because this board has two train of thoughts

Train of thought 1

1) things will change over night and we will become world beaters right away

train of thought 2

2)Lets get more high draft picks and ignore developing the prospects we have

Yea because he wants the team to improve and get rid of the cancer that made it become the worst franchise in the league. Definitely sounds like he's not a fan. Got to love this board if your opinion isn't the same is mine I'll flame you!

Man this sounds like one of those GDT's thats virtually toxic. Everything negative, fighting. Whats up with this board?

Realized that its another Shootout Win and that neither man nor beast cannot live on this result alone but the infighting here is ridiculous.

Whining after wins is stupid.

Because I'm looking at the bigger picture maybe Tad?

If you want to cheer and be happy about our 3rd win in 11 games, fine be my guest. Maybe if we win 5 in a row you would have some leg to stand on about me "whining" about a win.

I could absolutely understand if we blew a 2-0 lead and lost in the shootout.

...But the reverse happened. Why can't we be happy?

Unfortunately that is what has become of HFOil. Very negative atmosphere here. Lol

I don't even go on HF when they lose for obvious reasons.

Let's hope they can win two in a row! Against the top dogs in the league.

Khabi was superb!

I had no problem with them sitting Yak in the last ten minutes of regulation. At this point he turns the puck over quite a bit and they needed to secure a point.

Why would you run a 4 on 3 power play without a point shot? Makes me really question the competency of the coaching staff.

Even if I want Tambo (or Kruger) fired, I would never ever wish Oilers to lose for the sake of my own agenda.

Besides, thinking firing Tambo will automatically improve the team is a failed logic. Look what happened after KLowe got fired.

Pretty well played game. Would've been better if VV didn't give a text book example of what not to do when you drop your stick while the play is right beside you on the PK. Who would have guessed that chasing your stick behind the goal line would result in two scoring chances and then a goal?

Tambo is the best GM of all time. We should give him another raise.
Obviously you're more interested making childish posts than offering anything constructive.

If Tambo is fired I doubt that his replacement will do much/any better.
My question is how could the next GM do any worse??

I'm fine with it. We've managed to beat Phoenix twice post regulation. What I'm talking about is the apparent need for people to be flaming each other so much on their comments.

I would imagine some people come on the board to try to enjoy the dialogue and talk hockey, talk about the team.

Unfortunately its become flaming central.

Noone look now but the Oilers are 1 point out of 8th and not playing good hockey. Both positive and negative

This road trip will determine our season. If we come out of it over .500 or something like .650 we will be in perfect position to attempt a run at the playoffs, if we only get 2 wins, whelp good season

Oh no i'm looking at the bigger picture to, and dealing with it.

Lets say Tambo does get turfed, and the next guy isn't up to par. What then?

Same cycle. Doesn't matter who it would be. But wanting the team to lose to accomplish that?

Nah, but we should stick with the hope that the next guy will be better, and get us to the cup immediately after Tambo is turfed. Because signing free agents is easy, so is trading for guys who are available. Right?

That would be a negative. Now this team will start thinking they don't need to show up and the points will keep coming.

We could have won 8-1 and the fans would point to the 1.

I'd actually be happy because that would have showed a desire to end it right there.

This team has no killer instinct, and **** coaching isn't helping that.

But like I said, the attitude in Edmonton is that this team is above reproach and needs to be heaped with praise at all times.

We'll deserve the inevitable fall that attitude breeds.
