It looks like Bylsma is going to leave Crosby's line alone and just move Sutter up to the second line in between Bennett and Neal. How would you all feel if Neal and Dupuis swapped lines:
Kunitz-Crosby-Neal
Bennett-Sutter-Dupuis
On one hand, that top line could be the best top line in all of hockey. On the other hand though, that second line looks kind of soft and it might make the Penguins a one-line team.

Thoughts?
(No, Vitale isn't going to be in a top 6 role.)
Why jam everything onto one line. We already have two lines that cannot score often. Why make it three?
James Neal is a great wing when playing with a great playmaking center like Geno or Sid. I have my doubts about him looking more than pretty good playing with Sutter. Neal can't carry a line offensively without help. If Bennet - Sutter - Neal works, it will be because DreamBeaut steps up big time.
Wouldn't be jamming everything onto one line if they went....
Bennett - Crosby - Neal
Kunitz - Sutter - Dupuis
But of course, that would be too exciting to see...so it would never happen
Exactly, thats the lines that makes sense, but will never happen.
Honestly, you might as well just load up on one line right now minus Geno and count on them to score, then hope one of your other lines do something. That 2nd has some potential.. and the first would be awesome.
Without Malkin, we need to win lower scoring games. Count on Sid to carry the team for a while, but give him some friggen help. Great chance to see if Neal and him could work.. and having a great talent in Beau flank them would be a great chance to see what the kids got.

Double posting in the other thread, but Sid has all of the help he needs right now. They've been the 2nd highest scoring line in the league (13 ES goals) all season and have been ridiculously consistent. With Geno out, the team needs consistent scoring from that line. There's a very good chance that putting Neal there would hurt the line based on how they've been rolling all year.

I was KILLED for saying this a few years ago before Jeffrey got the ACL injury, but I said prior to that injury that I saw him as the "heir apparent" to Staal for the 3rd line. So basically, the decision is extremly simple:
-Sid centres line #1
-whoever has better chemistry between Neal/etc. on #2, between Jeffrey and Sutter centres line #2
-whoever has lesser chemistry between Neal/etc. on #2, between Jeffrey and Sutter centres line #2
...while still looking for upgrades on the wing, of course. Jeffrey is certainly capable, if Sutter is not; and we HAVE TO showcase the former's potential and trade/value if we don't plan on making him a permanent part of this team starting immediately -- or else he askes for a trade, and his value goes down the poop-shoot, as Frank Zappa would say (Bobby Brown reference for those who know the song; for those who don't, find it on youtube, unedited of course -- cannot post link, too profane!! ).
I like Bennett and all, but if you want us to load up one line, why isn't Kunitz on that line?
Agreed. If the Penguins do decided to go in that direction while Malkin's out, it might as well be Kunitz-Crosby-Neal. I'm not sure if they should, but if they want to, then that needs to be the top line.

ME-sid-YOU could be the highest scoring line in the NHL. Crosby is THAT good.
Idk I guess I'm fine with the line for now, in the regular season, I'm just tired of seeing Dups and Kunitz bring nothing in the post-season. They do good in the regular season and everyone thinks that line is just fine, until the playoffs happen.

One or the other could probably work, but we need someone that can create some offense on their own on one of those wings.
Not having Neal with Sid would just be stupid to me. Neal score the majority of our goals, and he does it the majority of the time by getting set up on his offhand by great playmaking. I just don't see how the chemistry would work between Neal and the right shooting, less of a playmaker in Sutter.
No knock on Sutter. But it'd be ridiculous not to keep Neal with another elite playmaker. We're just lucky to have another one for him to be paired with.

No knock on Bennett with these lines either. He can provide the playmaking and offense for that line.
Yeah, Yohe posted a tweet saying if Malkin is out for a substantial amount of time, then he would look for Neal to play with Crosby and Kunitz, and the 2nd line would be Cooke-Sutter-Dupuis, he called it "an okay 2nd line"
He said that's his prediction though. It does make sense to put our sniper with an elite playmaker with Malkin being out.
I would put Bennett/Boychuk with Sutter and Cooke with Jeffrey and Kennedy to balance out the lineup, but that's just my opinion.
