Uhhh.... really? Maybe on paper, but the team in blue was outclassed for most of the game I just watched.

Though I agree with your leadership comment. Team's #1 need.

He told the truth.

The Sabres had a handful of glorious chances but Nabakov stoned them.

This is bad. Plain bad. But it's not rock bottom. I hope we don't get there.

I hope Ott gets a letter here one day.

I'll be watching the Lightning for the rest of the season, wake me up when it's time to draft.

Trade or waive everyone on the roster not named Ott, Grigorenko, Ehrhoff, Ennis, Weber, Hodgson, Kaleta, Foligno, Vanek or Sekera. Seriously...the hell with this group of players if they can't even sack up long enough to beat the Islanders. We just got utterly dominated by one of the worst teams in hockey, and are tied in points with Calgary who has two games in hand.

He has done a pretty good job in terms of winning the majority of his trades and drafting well but he just gets random pieces and can't put the puzzle together

I know we're in the GBU but I gotta ask....

Are any of these guys franchise players? I.e.; Crosby or Toews or Tavares caliber? Or more like Pierre Turgeon.......? (Seriously, I know nothing about any of them......)

And whomever we get, will he have a supporting cast or be a lone wolf?

Grigs isn't ready to go year one so why would any of these guys be?

By 2016?

They were the better team through ~38 minutes...and then just packed it in.

First period was even, 2nd period was all Sabres until the Isles scored and the Sabres went "welp we tried", 3rd period was just "can we go home now?". The Sabres were drawing penalties, had numeroud grade A chances...if it wasn't for Nabby it could have been 4-0 Sabres before the Isles got on the board.

- Nothing

B/U:

- I'm really starting to hate this team. They don't try, not even for their own teammates. You see a team like Ottawa playing without their best players right now and they gut out a hard fought win against one of their biggest rivals. We have a cupcake game against a bad team in our building and they blow us out. It's just disgusting.

Winning trades means nothing. Winning a trade for Boyes who lindy didn't wanna use, or for Bernier, or Torres, etc....

Those are meaningless.

Who has he drafted in the last 6 years that is a legitimate proven top line talent or top pair d man?

Lets not let facts ruin the fantasy. Hell even if they are franchise players. The Isles are a prime example of how that is far from enough.

I've thought that from the moment they slapped him with the A. But I will stop short of being dramatic and ripping the A off him. Trade him away this off season and it will take care of itself.

There won't be a player like crosby until mcdavid BUT compared to recent drafts mac and drouin are both seguin/hall level players and jones is a future number 1 D man, probably similar to hedman level or even better

By far. Very steady and rarely makes major mistakes.
You know you're in trouble when Mike Weber is your best defenseman.

Sekera, Myers, Regehr, have been horrible the most time of the year.
Only Sulzer, Weber and Erhoff are playing "ok" (but nothing special either).

I hope we tank this season. Get the best pick available. Go full rebuild. Trade Miller, Vanek, Pominville, Stafford, Gerbe, Seker for futures. Especially Pominville's value will sink every game, so better trade him today than tomorrow. Get rid of the old Rochester core.

Yeah I get that it won't happen that way (taking a letter off) but can anyone honestly see 21 stepping up in the locker room and saying anything?

He's more likely to grab his guitar and sing kumbayah (and I have no idea how to spell that )
