Tough loss becuse of the timing of the winning goal, but the better team won. An AHL team outplayed us for about 50 out of 60 minutes tonight.
So true!!!

Kulemin, Komarov, McClement, and Bozak are all offensively nonexistant this year. MacArthur hasn't been great but he still gets his chances and makes things happen now and then.

They actually are -- you must still be numb from all those beat downs during those playoff years lead by Sundin.

Bishop let in a soft goal and still won. The Leafs should be dominating such an inexperienced team with a backup goalie. We allowed the opposite to happen by failing on every other pass or clearing attempt, and watching them put in the extra effort to get to contested pucks first.

We'll see. They seem to be winning more than losing. Tonight was 4 straight wins since last Saturday!!!

Is this a joke? Since when are we the hardened veteran team with Patrick Roy in net?

scrivens needs to calm the play down and too many times he throws pucks back into the middle and for the most part the d has been able to clear but not tonight.

Carlyle made a big mistake letting Grabbo take that last draw and I bet he doesn't make that mistake again.

Team was sluggish
Ridiculous. You realize that even the best faceoff takers in the league lose at least 2 times out of 5, right? The problem was not losing the faceoff, the problem was a guy totally uncovered on a rebound.

What difference would it have made if Kessel was on the ice instead of Kulemin for those goals?
Yes I fully comprehend your argument and I know Scrivens was bad. However, for even getting to the point of sacrificing a rebound, the personnel in front of him did not employ good coverage. That includes Kulemin and Grabo. And I'm not blaming either for the loss. I'm arguing that their collective and individual efforts were not good enough, especially the former, who is often touted as a great shutdown player on these boards. We weren't exactly playing a team full of NHL players.

And to your final point, clearly it DID make a difference. Stats don't li- go look at them. Kessel was applying enough defensive pressure on his man to mitigate scoring opportunities and pucks to the net. Kulemin did not.

What? No. Smith would have handed him his ass.
My point was Smith was trying to draw a penalty and i think he looks weak in that video. Like he's trying too hard. Kadri's a little guy, there are plenty of big guys on the leafs that Smith could have pulled that **** on. I wouldn't get all that excited about that video. It would be like Leafs fans getting super pumped at the video of Orr grabbing Gionta. We didn't care or think it was some really cool display of toughness.

The Leafs should have been able to dominate the Sens tonight. I think their coach has what it take to elevate his players and make them winners.

Gunnarsson has to be in the pressbox, he wasn't good enough today.

Seriously, we're still one of the youngest teams in the league, coming together and learning how to win. This tough loss is part of the growing pains experience.

Is it a joke? No. The Senators are missing their top four most important players including a league-leading goalie. How is it that our first line was so impotent against that? I couldn't even tell you the names of half the guys the Sens dressed tonight.

Gunnarsson needs to be traded. Much too soft and not enough offensive skill to make up for being so soft!!!

Sens were also kept in the game by a least a couple of missed calls!

A tripping and delay of game calls were ignored by the refs ffs.

Yep. The Leafs weren't good enough tonight. That loser point would have been great...sucks we couldn't even get that.

You are underselling the Senators though...They won three straight before facing the Leafs, so it's not like the Leafs are the only team losing to a bunch of AHL'ers.
