Are you seriously pointing to injuries as a defence here, when we just lost to a team without michalek, spezza, cowen, EK, and anderson? Note the last two players have been the best at their respective positions in the league this season.

Also, we are fully capable of giving a much better offensive effort without those players. Productivity isn't just defined by points, but also by sustained pressure. The leafs have done that consistently for the past few games, so why couldn't they do it today? Because there's no Lupul and Frattin? I think not. Also, if you've been watching the MARLIES at all, you'd know Gardiner has not been the same player that we saw last year.
Ya I'm sure you've been watching them right . Dallas Eakins said Gardner was ready for some NHL action

Kulemin: Time to cash him into Pittsburgh. I can more than accept than he's not a 30 goal scorer, But he doesn't even look he'll get 10 this year.

Grabo: I'd loan him back CSKA. Or a more likely scenario is move him to the wing. Wing Kadri and Macarther.

Horrible 1st set the tone of the game, And it ended the same way.
I've been saying that since he came in. Gunnar sits out, and play Komisarek. I don't get WHY Komi is just sitting there to play Gunnar who is obviously, and clearly hurting PLUS rusty. (and now if you play Komi, who hasn't played for what? 6+ weeks, he'll be rusty too and it will be all Oooooh, Komi sucks, Komi sucks). Say what you will, he was playing decent until he hurt his eye and was benched.

Definitely a good game if you're a Sens fan.

and he hits like crazy, like good checkers should

Where's Reimer for PM? You know Kulemin, the guy you think is a 'very good' shutdown player? Yeah, he was a -2 against the Binghamton Senators tonight.

If the Leafs do happen to miss the playoffs by a mere point, maybe we could look back at tonight's game. Such a heart breaker could bring the team down. Anyone remember the game against the Devils last season when Gustavsson completely muffed on one in OT after Kessel tied it. I can only hope this game is a wake up call for them because things will only get tougher from here on end.

Notsureifserious, This loss is 100% on Scrivens, The Leafs played a good game after the 1st and Ben crapped the bed big time, especially on the greening goal.

That whole line was invisible, it was a terrible effort. Grabovski was ok compared to the past games, maybe he will wake up and get a haircut.

Dear lord, our checking line sucks.

New second line:

Kadri-Grabo-Macarthur
Kulemin-komarov-mcclement >> checking line

I hate missing easy points like this because when you struggle later on you need these points to survive. It's only a matter of time before Philly catches fire.
On Monday... book it!

Just a sad sad effort today. This game resembled the Wilson years. Turnover after turnover and a whole lot of puck watching.

Yeah him going to score goals for another team is not a good thing. Kulemin's role is to open up space for his line mates and he does that job pretty well IMO. Grabovski is the one that needs to step up... he's been on vacation ever since he received that ridiculous contract. I've been a huge grabo fan but he's slowly turning into an extremely overpaid forward.

I have actually. And I'm pretty sure that if he was, he'd be up here. Our upper management is completely aware of the situation and believe he is not ready yet.

Disagree. I've watched almost all the games and attended a lot too and he is by far the best player on the ice. He doesnt belong there anymore and needs to be called up ASAP!

Hard to be a plus player when your goalie can't control rebounds on routine slapshots from long distance and the d men don't take care of their responsibilities.

Rather play Liles than Komisarek. Komisarek can't even take his own man down

Good game? Compared to what? The non efforts versus the Canes? That was ron Wilson hockey. Totally clueless and weak

Also hard to be a plus player if you're not a good 200 foot player

i thought kessel was good tonight
he just wasn't shooting as much, mostly passing
he had to help the D move the puck out of our end alot

to try to put it into perspective:

the sens batted two goals out of the air for a goal..and the another goal with a player punching it in.

im not letting scrivens off the hook. but good third period, until that... leafs gotta regroup after this one.
