I read the title as Detroit, and Ouellet is a prospect lol.

How about, Komi/Kostka/Liles for Glennie (project)?

Glennie is completely worthless. A 7th has more value at this point.

Kostka for Glennie is something I'd do.

Would you guys be interested in a quick fix number 7 defenseman from the free agents list?

Jeff Finger was terrible for his contract, but actually wasn't too too bad otherwise.
Colin White may be able to squeak in one more year also.

It'd be cheaper than trading assets.

Perfect, that'd work out for both teams as it would allow us to call up Gardiner.

I'd be interested in Glennie to see if Dallas Eakins can save him, its worth a shot.

Komisarek is getting a bum deal here in T.O.
He's not his pre-Toronto self, mind you, but he has turned his game around since last season, and Carlyle for no reason wont play him.
He could use a new team.

I'd do Komi for Glennie and hope that Glennie can be salvaged! (What actually happened to him?)

He was panic drafted way too high, and his attitude problems never went away. Also he is injured a ton.

No Stars practice today, but update from the plane is: Rome (foot) could be out for a while and Larsen (head) is not on the flight today

Oleksiak has been called up, and they are hoping Trevor Daley (neck) can go Monday against Nashville.
Wow .... So the only certain healthy D are Jordie Benn, Dillon, Goligoski, Oleksiak, and Robidas ... and they don't have anyone else to call up other than Jace Coyle, Hubert Labrie, and Carl Sneep.

I still think just signing someone which someone proposed early on makes the most sense ... probably Brett Clark out of OKC.

I guess they are prepared to go with 13 forwards and 5 D if Daley is unable to go. Otherwise ... somethings got to give, and they'd have to make a move.

Love how many fans are trying to dump a multi-year bad contract in this thread

It is a short term problem that requires a short term solution

there are plenty of teams carrying extra d=men on 1,mill or less or D-men on soon to be expired contracts.

We saw 2 d-men traded for 7th rounders earlier and I think that is what we could see here

Based on the rest of this thread you are a genius.

This is exactly what the Stars are looking for, a veteran 8/9 type defenseman with some NHL experience and no long term contract.

I think they'll sign a defenseman from free agency.

Dallas called up Carl Sneep!!!!

He's honestly looked pretty good for Texas .... but my god I hope he doesn't play. Well ... this is the protection they needed. I'm just very surprised it's him.

Trevor Daley was placed on IR, but it was retroactive so he can actually come off tomorrow.

This goes against the OP but what about a later trade of:

To Dal: Simon Despres + Tyler Kennedy + pick

To Pitt: Loui Eriksson
