Muppets on ice have more grit than this line up

If that first line can pick it up and get something going, and Kreider translates his play in the AHL to the big leagues, this team might actually become competitive.

Haley should be a Ranger. I have not seen anything from him that screams AHLer.

3 goals were scored yesterday so I wouldn't tinker with much, but for the love of God keep Kreider off the 4th line. Let him play with Miller and Pyatt on the third line, or split up the top line and go with
Kreider - Stepan - Nash
Hags - Richards - Gaborik
Pyatt - Miller - Cally
4th line of the leftovers (no Bickel though)

Larger role for CK with perhaps Gaborik going for a D MAN and role player .

We haven't even seen what his role is yet. For all we know he could get 5 mins a game on the 4th line.

They would not recall him to play in a 4th line role . Just speculating but with all rumors around Gaborik moving I could see CK them becoming a top 6 F with perhaps a D man and bottom six wing coming back

How is it a larger role? Kreider broke camp with the team. He was expected to be a contributor. He wasn't, so they sent him down. Now he's playing well in Hartford so they're giving him another chance. The guy he's replacing was playing six minutes per night.

After every player reassignment someone smells a trade. Apparently people have a ****** sense of smell.

I'd imagine Kreider will see time on the 3rd line.

Nash - Richards - Gaborik
Hags - Steps - Cally
Kreider - Boyle - Miller
Pyatt - Halpern - Powe

Not much more to it. One guy up, one guy down.

Haley was alright here. I still like having a little crazy in the lineup somewhere. Kreider gives us a scoring punch, but unless Bickel is going in for someone, we're softer. Then again, we're playing Florida tomorrow. Not exactly goon central.

Glad to have Kreider back but I liked what Haley added personally.

Well Kreider deserved the call up, he's tearing it up in CT. At the same time I thought Haley did well. Asham said he's aiming to return Sunday though.

Boyle should get the heck out of town soon but at the same time I wont be shocked to see Pyatt demoted to the 4th line or press box soon as a kick in the arse

I liked Haley a lot. Just a victim of numbers now I guess, if not back up this year I'd expect him to be a regular next year. Also, if CK is on the 4th line ill be pissed, but I really don't expect that to happen.

Isn't Asham going to be replacing Haley as the tough guy checker . Therefore unless Ck Is displacing one of the other forwards it hints to me given all the Gaborik talk that it's a legit possibility

Asham doesn't necessarily have to play at all. They could put CK in the top 6 and just move someone down to where Haley would play.

Love that Kreider was brought up and hope he continues to play the way he plays, but I’ve liked Haleys game so far and think he still deserves some minutes. Hes shown he can throw the body, skate, not take stupid penalties, and even park himself in front of the net a bit

Are you guys seriously complaining with our top prospect who is on fire in CT replacing Haley? Haley had 2-3 golden opportunities to score and he fumbled all of them. Kreider will give this team an added dimension not seen in the bottom 6. He takes this oportunity and runs with it. I doubt he gets called down anymore this season, he knows what to do now.

I don't understand this move. I thought Torts hated Kreider and by bringing him back up he's going to ruin him...

There are some legitimate gripes with it. Kreider going up and down constantly isn't the greatest thing in the world and Haley played solid enough to keep his spot over someone like Stu or Asham.
