From what I've heard, he's sitting out today with the flu. Seems like a couple of other trainers have caught it too.

@sportsnetmurph: #canucks David Booth will take warm up tonight in Detroit. Alain Vigneault says he's a game time decision versus #redwings

Hope he's able to go. He played a pretty high tempo game his last go round in Detroit, would love to see that again.

Both Howard and Luongo are fresh off shutouts against the same team. Interesting head to head (although has it been confirmed Lu is starting?)
Yup, Luongo is confirmed as starter per Murph.

If Howard is starting, it ends a streak of 6 or 7 straight games of the Canucks playing teams backup goalies.

They player Rinne (Preds #1) last game... the streak ended then. Still... it was pretty bizarre.

Pekka Rinne is one expensive backup.

The Monster's injured again as per the GDT on Detroit's board. Howard starting.

Alberts' first NHL game this year. Well, could be worse. Could be Barker there.

not just Rinne, but the previous Dallas game we played (not the last one, but one 5 games ago), Lethonen started, but was injured and replaced.

It's an odd coincidence, but it has mostly to due with injuries, and not teams starting their backups against us.. even the Wild game prior to that Dallas game, it was Harding scheduled to start, but was unable to due to his MS symptons prior to the game.

Aaron Rome is a very good #7 D-man. Alberts is about average.

But he was constantly used in a top 6 role here.

Aaron Rome being called a 7th d-man? Maybe on the Olympic squad. You're lucky AV isn't posting on this board. He'd probably get infracted for his response.

Aaron Rome is the ideal bottom pair D. Rome is only a #7 on a strong team like the Canucks.

Alberts is a very good #7, and on many other teams would be an average #6.

I know?

I specifically stated that I still think Alberts is a very good #7, unlike your statement.

AV: Booth will take warm up. If he's good to go, he'll start on line with Lapierre & Weise.
I saw others post that he would be a game time decision, but on the fourth line even if he plays? I guess it does say start so obviously he could move up, but I was really liking Raymond/Schroeder/Booth

does anyone have the confirmed lineups if he's in? Is Kassian on the second or third line? so many questions that must be answered!
