I see Galchenyuk being a 6'2, 215 pounds centerman in the future. He's indeed going to be scary.

He's got a similar frame to lars eller. When the habs got him, no one knew if he was 6 ft, 6'1 or 6'2 or his weight. It's now obvious Lars is 6'2, 215.

I think Gally will reach that size by 21-22

Galch right now is pretty lanky. Looks promsing. He'll be well over 200lbs. He and Eller could be a very solid 1-2 punch.

Would be pretty cool if he ends up with more points than Eller and DD.

Another promising young player who turned 20 last December is Nathan Beaulieu. Habs have really stocked the cupboards with promising young players. Exciting time to be a Habs fan!

Our future PP with Beaulieu and Subban at the blue line and the likes of Galchenyuk, Eller, Kristo and Collberg up front should be deadly

Pretty funny seeing Oilers fans trying their hardest to discredit Galchenyuk. Their latest argument is Galchenyuk is not a good PP player, which is why he doesn't play on it. OK...

He started off the season getting PP minutes and only recorded 1 point. He will learn the system and get more PP time when MT realizes DD isn't any more productive.

In March and April, DD has only 1 assist also... Weird that our PP keep rolling.

I think we have 2 big centers within our system that can be 1-2 punch in the next few years.

Alex Galchenyuk 6'1" 200lbs
Lars Eller 6'2" 210lbs
plus we have Tomas Plekanec 5'11" 200lbs who can play in every situation.

We need to deal David Desharnais and get a top 6 winger.
I see Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher line in the near future. Size, finish, speed, creativity. This line has it all.

To be fair he was trying to be too fancy when he was on it. I think now he's more experienced and may well succeed but he's gotta hit the net if he plays PP and not sky his bullet snap shots.

The powerplay was bad the first month aside from a couple games where Markov killed it on his own. The powerplay still isn't as good as the numbers suggest...all the success comes from how good Subban and Markov have been.

Oilers management are dumb for not picking Chuck. The worst part is that after watching that Oil Change show episode where they were going over the draft, they never once even mentioned Galchenyuk's name.

It was either Yakupov or Murray. How do you not even consider it, is beyond me.

Just forget the fact that Galchenyuk plays on and made an actually good team oppose to being given a spot on a terrible ****ing team.

I really think he has the ability to play like them.
I think he can crack that inner circle of the best of the best.

A part of me also thinks he can be better than that.

Really really think he can exceed even our most optimistic expectations.

It's partly how insular their entire management scheme is. Look at how many Edmonton Oil Kings players they've drafted recently. They picked Mitch Moroz in the 2nd round at #32... And the attitude carries on to the fans. Look at the Oilers board after 5 straight wins and their topic of discussion is "Taylor Hall for the Hart".

Chuckie is 19... and all ours! I am more than excited. Kind of reminds me a 6'2 Damphouse. Agreed, he needs to gain a step, but good lord!

To be fair, Yakupov would be playing for us as well.

But it's very impressive to see Galchenyuk putting up big numbers as a winger as opposed to his natural position. Edmonton fans were using it as an excuse when Yakupov was playing on his off wing, lol.

Why we shouldn't be worried... Look at his PP numbers before the NHL....

Chuckie's much more of a playmaker than Hall and Yakupov who are pure snipers, yet in their last OHL season his PP
Goals/game were close to Hall and Yakupov (I don't have PP Assists or Point stats):
Chuck 0.21
Hall 0.24
Yak 0.28

One thing ive noticed as the season has progressed is that Chuckie isn't on the receiving side of hits anymore. Hes the one dishing them out as of late
