Anyone know how far away he is from returning to action?

With how he was playing coming off the injury to begin with, I'm doubting we will be seeing much of Burns this year, which is certainly limiting our ability to ship off Demers or Braun at the deadline.

At his point, I don't really care. Our defense has been solid all season.

If Burns is coming back soon, then he needs to come back 100%.

I agree. Our defense was and is not the problem with or without Burns. Although in theory he would help out with our offense, but we also have a lot invested in him with the trade and his contract so they really shouldn't rush him back.

Cheechoo was a horrible skater to begin with. Not sure if this even has to do with his off-season hernia surgery either.

Just shut him down for the year, if that's what it takes to get him completely healthy.

We already know that this team isn't good enough for it to be worth it to push him to play injured. Might as well get him healthy while getting a better pick. Shut Havlat down as well, maybe Wingels. I'm concerned that Wingo has a concussion. As for Havlat, a 'nagging' injury is usually the kind that only time can heal. Heal Clowe up, trade his ass, and then ride Handzus and Murray to the Promised Land (aka Drouin).

If only there was someone who could replace him and possibly help our future in the process by making someone a valuable trade asset. Like some sort of young puck moving defenceman who has shown he can play in this league already but just needs ice time to perfect his game. Possibly a guy a who can throw big hits from time to time and is good at starting the breakout....................

Not just in theory, he is one of our PP QBs so our totally inept 2nd pp unit is largely because of his absence. Last year it wasn't near this bad.

Our general system is defensive and tends to limit GA, we rely on skilled puckmoving D to turn that into offense, so we are really missing a healthy burns a lot.

Have we heard whats up with Burns? Cuz it could be he's having a hard time adjusting to the loss of his beard. His equilibrium must be all outta whack.

Burns was only good with his beard. He needs to sit out until he grows that back.

Whatever the injury is, he better call Ray Lewis for some antler spray.
