They are regretting that deal BIG TIME! JVR is a stud and Luke is a 6th/7th Dman that is slow, a horrible shot, gets out of position by trying to body check too much and has horrible awareness.

Thanks Burkie
I think this is one trade where it's almost immaterial how good Schenn is playing for the Flyers, because JVR is looking like such a keeper for us.

Just like the Phaneuf trade. These trades Burke made evens out the Kessel mistake IMHO.

EDIT: Aint no mistake, it's a overpayment

Kessel, Phaneuf, JVR vs Seguin, Hamilton, Schenn is a wash at the very least (assuming Hamilton pans out). I would say we ended up on the better side actually.

Ahh I see, well I hope Dion stays on his game and just totally ignores Hartnell. He's usually good at ignoring pesky players and not taking unnecessary penalties.

Add in Lupul, Gardiner v. Beauchemin.

****, completely forgot Yea with that, it's not even close.

People love to mention how Burke ****ed up the Kessel deal, but conveninetly ignore the complete steals he made. Burke drastically improved the player quality but on roster and in the prospct pool.

Anywho, on topic - Scrivens has to be sharp tonight for us to have a chance. Philly's offence has been on FIRE lately, and no matter how we box them out, they are bound to have at least 5 really good chances given the talent throughout their lineup.

Scrivens needs to limit his softies/**** rebound control to 1 or less goals tonight.

was that back to back? I stand corrected. Still don't see a team sitting 4 points out of 1st in the east as struggling

Goddamit. I just realized the Raptors and Leafs game is on at the same time tonight. Both at 7:00. Hate when that happens.

honestly, I'm expecting a loss - gonna be very tough. I just hope the sky doesn't fall too badly around here if we do.

We need to get back on a winning streak and put as much distance between us and the eighth place seed as possible.

I think we may see a lot of "Hartnell down" on display tonight, whether that'd be because of his clumsiness or the leafs checking him hard.

It's really surprising we haven't seen Komisarek for atleast one game. Take Kostka out or something

It baffles me as well. Komisarek looked pretty good when he played. And I am not even talking by his standards but in general.

My guess is he and randy got into a clash or something. He smashed the stick in anger and boom fiberglass in his eye and there goes a stronger reason for his benching. As it was a foolish move. Again this is just my tin foil hat theory, I have absolutely no source or say in this. Just trying to make a guess.

Regardless hopefully it's nothing big and we eventually get him into the line-up to get other teams interested in his services.

Big game tonight. Thankfully it's on the road. We've been pretty good on the road. I have a good feeling about this one. The only thing that's on the way of my good feelings is scrivens!

go leafs go!

Carlyle seems to have it out for Komi. Doubt we see him in the line up again.
