I know you know that this is the worst possible argument you can make.

7-7-3 isn't terrible but it is far from good. They are turnover machine and totally worthless 5-on-5. They've turned puck over in their own zone again and again all night, donating opportunities to Hawks.

Oilers fan coming in peace (Hawks are one of my favorite "secondary teams").

The game's not over until it's over - I contemplated not even watching this game since I figured the Hawks would just steamroll us.

Given the Oilers penchant for giving up leads I wouldn't sweat too much about it yet
