As weird as this sounds, looking at the standings, we are still so much in the race for the 8th spot which is looking wide open right now. With the Rags in trouble, Philly losing again today, TB dropping considerably since their hot start, I still believe we have a great chance to sneak in there. A win against the Bruins would be huge for this team moving forward
Crazy and scary that we are almost half way through this season...A good 10 game hot streak 7-3 would be huge towards making the Playoffs.. It starts by taking care of Home Ice...

Boston is such a good team in just about every facet, this is going to be pretty tough.. Going to try and get outta work early and head over to the coliseum. Lets go Islanders!
He's been getting better every game, but is still getting his feet wet. He's played conservative so far and is still making rookie mistakes but has become more loose out there with more minutes, jumping in on the play a few times, one which led to his first NHL goal to win the game in OT.
Looking forward to watching this game in HD, too bad I have to listen to Jack Edwards to do it.
Need to come out strong against the B's, we have to win a game at home for a change.
NHL.com shows it's on NBC sportsnet. Will it be blacked out because it will be on NESN? A Caps game was on the NHL Network the other day which surprised me, maybe you will get lucky? But I actually like Caps announcers.
We are going to get ****ing destroyed. Sorry, but I have no faith against Boston. They are as tough as teams come, we have proven to be a mentally weak team.
I don't know what to think so from now on I think I'll just predict Isles to win 4-2 every game cause they have to win at home eventually right? 2 points out of 8th. If we want to stay in this we need to win here.
I hope the players don't show up (again) and lose 10-0. That's the only way Capuano will get fired - if the Islanders get walloped like they've never been walloped before. Much worse than against Philly.
An historic ass-kicking will also hopefully FORCE Snow to get off butt and dial up some of his fellow GMs to make a significant trade, whether it's shaking things up for the better this season, or throwing in the towel for yet more draft picks.
I also hope that Boston fans out-number us 2-1 to really drive home what a joke this organization is.
But even if all of that did happen, why would Charles and Garth give enough of a **** to make any significant changes? Stay the course, everything's going according to plan...

They truly fit the word "team". This is a captain obvious remark but if they want to win this game they must make almost no mistakes and come out with fire under their butt. No 1st period let down and leaving Nabby to be a 1 man show to keep us in this 1. Their toughness will be a problem for us much like against Philly (I'm sure they were showing that video at the coaches meeting) so i think we must also come out with a edge to our game.
I have no idea about a score here but if my previously mentioned intangibles are not met we could be in for a long game.
If we play physical and play all 3 periods we release the NVMC demons and win 3-2
If we don't I feel another blow out could happen and look something like Boston 6-1
If this was an away game it would be the perfect setup for destroying once again the winning streak of a big favorite against all odds. Playing at home though doesn't help to fit in that pattern.
Going with my girlfriends whole family, they are all bruins fans except her and her dad....hoping for the win so we can avoid the verbal abuse.....4-1 bruins
