Their toughness will be a problem for us much like against Philly (I'm sure they were showing that video at the coaches meeting) so i think we must also come out with a edge to our game.
I have no idea about a score here but if my previously mentioned intangibles are not met we could be in for a long game.

If we play physical and play all 3 periods we release the NVMC demons and win 3-2
If we don't I feel another blow out could happen and look something like Boston 6-1

Your "if we play physical" says it all. Even if you got 1 hit out of everyone except Martin of coarse.. who is going to lay out some "BOOM" no matter what

Who's going to stand up and be counted when the gloves come off...if even 3 to 5 more would at least not glue on there gloves before the game..we may stand a chance.

Question is..How much of this do you see happening. Now ask yourself..we know #17 is going to lay down some law thru hits and glove dropping...so now he goes to the box for trying to keep this shat show respectable. Who steps up?

Well..I'll be watching..hoping just like you..but unless someone else gets some intestinal fortitude there will be alot of

Big, physical teams like the Bruins usually have their way with us.

I'm fully expecting Okposo to be crawled up in the fetal position in a puddle of his own urine immediately after the opening faceoff.

Couple that with the fact we're awful at home, and this one might get out of hand fast.

I'm literally considering wagering my entire wad of vcash on the Bruins tonight.

Prediction:

Bruins 6 (Seguin (2), Chara, Ference, Horton, Lucic)
Viles 1 (Reasoner)

check out what every other teams so called stars do in the hit category, From Callahan to Kane , OV etc all with decent hit counts showing physical effort. check isles we have players with 3 hits in 19 games? This game is built around toughness..team toughness..it has to be individual toughness...not how many points did i get

The Bruins are one of my favorite teams to watch, very well coached. I doubt the Isles win, but if they do win hopefully they can build off a huge win and get a winning streak going. Who am I kidding they only get 2 wins in a row.

If the game is on NBCSN, there isn't a Bruins local telecast.

As for the game itself, the Islanders have to start playing decently at home. I think that this is 4-2 Boston.

Isles have lost games, I felt confident they'd win.

So, maybe they surprise me by winning one I don't have much confidence going into.

Let's go Isles

Isles always like to surprise, I had confidence in them winning against Montreal going into the game and into the second period of that game, and they won it. I thought they'd walk over Ottawa, and they get beat...so with this team, you never...truly the cardiac kids, only game they've made it easy watching was against Buffalo.

I believe the game will be on NBC Sports. But I feel you, I live in Boston too, Jack Edwards is in insufferable. I've lived in Boston for almost 5 years, I almost hate the Bruins as much as I hate the Rags.

Would be nice to win this one.

NESN is carrying the game in the Boston area per Jack Edwards tweet this morning.

Well at least Ullstrom is back in. But they're sitting the wrong guy...Reasoner should sit, not Aucoin. Although, Aucoin has been terrible.

Not that I'm a huge Grabner fan or anything. But why is Grabner on our 3rd line? He has what 8 goals this year? Bailey Neilsen Okposo have 3 between the 3 of them. Does it not make sense to have Okposo on the 3rd line right now?

I will never understand Capuano & the Islanders just giving okposo all of this ice time he clearly doesn't deserve.

They're definitely sitting the right guy. But I would put Grabner with bailey and Nielsen.

Agreed. It's also the natural NY-Boston thing. I do hate the B's, but I love the way they are constructed. I wish the Isles can follow a similar path.

It's finally nice to see Ullstrom again. Aucoin sitting, he's been invisible for a while now. It's clear he's a AAAA tweener.

So the great coach Cappy doesnt realize that we are playing probably the toughest team in the league tonight and doesnt feel we should dress Boulton and Finley. Isles are going to get crushed. Someone on the team will get injured tonight.

Also this. We are the worst coached team in NHL history.

If Martin plays his normal hard hitting style game you can bet that Thorton will be going after him.

Right decision there, Aucoin has been horrendous and Reasoner didn't look that bad the last two games.

Are the Bruins dressing any rookies tonight? The Isles can continue the trend of awarding rookies the first goal of their NHL careers.
