Foligno-Grigorenko-Pominville
Vanek-Hodgson-Ott
Hecht-Ennis-Stafford
Gerbe-Porter-Kaleta

I know I'll get buried for having Hecht not on the fourth line... but Nathan Gerbe can barely receive a hockey pass.

Nobody will bury you for Hecht. You should be buried for that first line though.

My suggestion is below that
I propose you be the interm coach because your lines somewhat make sense.

I was poking fun at the fact that since Rolston came in, its seems like Gerbe has seen a significant amount of increased ice time.

The lines are in no particular order. Spread out scoring.

Hecht can't skate. And has no heart bury him on 4th line

Foligno is a 2nd year pro with 33 NHL GP.

Gerbe is a 5th year pro with 161 NHL GP.

Gerbe has 17 ****ing shots this season. 17 in 15 games! Shoot the ****ing puck!

Foligno isn't exactly lighting the world on fire by any means, but Gerbe is just down right useless. I like the fire he shows for a little guy, its cute and fun to see at times. But he is one of the many reasons why we suck so bad. Too many players who lack enough skill to succeed at the NHL level.

Rolston has discussed a problem in the organization has been giving ice time to players who don't deserve it. Foligno has led all NHL rookies in TOI and has 1 goal and a lot of lackluster play to show for it. I have no problem with making a rookie earn his keep. Many of these players aren't hungry enough. Marcus is one of them. He needs to be hungry or else he's ineffective. Gerbe might not be good enough, but you rarely question his desire or compete level.

Agreed. It gets you ice time over a rookie who isn't showing those things though.

I've got lots of work to do tommorrow, yet I'll watch the game tonight. I haven't been able to see the last few games... Maybe I just need the Bolts-game to remember how poorly we play. I don't know, but I've got the feeling that Stammer is going to score like 3 or 4 goals against us tonight...

Who else are we gonna play there? Foligno's 1 goal this season isn't helping us either. May as well knock him down a few lines and see if you can rattle him into playing like he gives a ****.

Honestly, Idk why Grigorenko hasn't gotten at the very least a shift or 2 with Ennis and Stafford at wing this year.

If it helps get Foligno back on track it helps the team. Maybe not right away but definately down the road.

Some blurbs from the vsTB-GameNotes.pdf:
  • Tampa Bay owns an all-time home record of 9-21-3-4 against the Sabres.
  • Tampa Bay holds a 6-3-1 record at home this season, while the Sabres are 3-6-0 on the road.
  • The Lightning have scored 23 goals over their past six games and rank first in the NHL with 69 goals this season.
  • 33 of the Lightning's 69 tallies have come in the third period, ranking first in the NHL.
  • The Sabres are 5-8-6 all-time on Feb. 26. They haven’t won on this date in their last 11 tries, with the last win coming on Feb. 26, 1987, a 4-3 win vs. St. Louis that featured the 99th hat trick in franchise history (Wilf Paiement).
  • Thomas Vanek leads the team with 23 goals in only 28 games against TBL, five shy of his career-best 28 against Boston (48 GP).
  • Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff has averaged 24:57 TOI per game this season, the highest average of his career and the highest per-game average by a Sabres skater since Alexei Zhitnik skated 25:01 per game in the 2003-04 season. Jason Pominville’s average TOI of 20:46 is the highest by a Sabres forward since Miroslav Satan averaged 21:23 in 2002-03.
  • Since 2005-06, 24 of 33 teams replacing their head coach mid-season have seen an improvement in their record after replacing the coach; 14 of those teams made the playoffs that season.
