On one of Raleigh's busiest streets, there appeared to be a hit and run. I didn't see it happen, but there was a car with it's side/window/front end bashed in that looked to have been weirdly situated halfway on the sidewalk and halfway on the street. You could see the glass and side mirror on the street too. There were no other cars in the area that I saw that had a front end bashed in, nor were there any emergency vehicles present. It was very weird considering there's this seemingly recently beat up car with no one paying it one minute's notice.

At the beginning of February I was talking to the woman and she was walking around in downtown Atlanta, she started screaming. A dude on a bike got hit by a car, and was blasted 10-15 in the air off his bike. Then the guy in the car got out of his car and started screaming at the guy on the bike.

This tea tastes like melted plastic, and not like ginger-mint as it is suppose to.

Lirl. Power save mode, just surfing the internet and no videos etc. 2 hours on my battery.

Fun.

Can you buy batteries that have longer life for your laptop than the one you're given in it?

Reminds me of when I was in Sweden and across the street there was a guy in a crosswalk. It was even a crosswalk with the walking man display and bird chirp sound. Anyways, this car appears to be stopped at a red light, then randomly decides to turn right, right into the crosswalk. The driver got about 2 inches away from the guy and then proceeded to lay into his horn, roll down his window and start yelling at the walking man. The walking man just points at the display and the driver seemed satisfied.

Reading is fun. More people should read. If you want to know why my generation is so ****ing stupid, it's because most of us don't read.

I went to Vans because I need to purchase shoes, and there were so many hipsters there. I felt overwhelmed by the hipsters.

Why being vegetarian can kill more animals than eating meat

June 22, 2011 by Julia Galef

...Consequently, I’ve found it surprising that people so rarely acknowledge that vegetarians do kill millions of animals for food. If you buy eggs or milk or cheese, it’s true in theory that the dairy cows and laying hens don’t have to be killed in order to supply you with those products, but in practice, they are. A modern factory farm isn’t just going to let their animals die of old age; they kill them at whatever point the farm considers to be the most profit-maximizing. For dairy cows, that’s usually at age 3-5, out of a natural 20-25 year lifespan. For egg-laying hens, it’s usually after one or two laying cycles. And since the males of the laying species are useless to the egg farmer, they’re killed right after they hatch....

It's pretty dumb that I have to stay 4 hours after my last lecture every Tuesday, just so I can hand in my lab.
