Yeah, UC sucks ****. I don't understand, when given the choice, people choose sharing a bathroom and kitchen with 20-40 other people rather than 3-5 other people.

Mind you, they'll be doing some renovations to SSR next year so I believe West residence will also be available to 1st years next year. Going into 2nd year, I want to get into West but it's not super likely now because of all the damn 1st years that will get it next year. West is similar to SSR but you get single rooms.

For roommates, you get to choose if you want. If not, you'll be paired with anyone, but sometimes they will put you with program.

Choose SSR if you do come here, it's the best. It's not a dorm, it's its own apartment. It's either 4 or 6 person that comes with a full kitchen (full fridge, full stove), common room (cable equipped), and bathroom (separate shower from toilet).

None of that UC ******** where you have to share a kitchen and bathroom for the entire floor (unless that appeals to you).

Thanks for the info!

Did you have any conditions on your offer? As I see it now it looks like I have none lol.

It's still unlikely that I'm coming to LU, but the odds have certainly went up lately. It would be fun to go to the same school as you guys too.

Google pilonidal cyst and you will know the pain in the ass I have to deal with. Have barf bag ready.

Doctor tells me it's a birth defect thing. Very common...and recurrent. Last time I had it excised there was no anesthetic. Not this time boyo. No way. It's really a relatively minor procedure but...location, location, location.

Missed the game today due to a stupid PTA meeting. The major discussion point? "What do we buy the librarian as a retirement gift".

Put that on the big board of "worst reasons to miss a game".

Ouch. I see. Hope the procedure goes painlessly and quickly.

Was the answer 'a book'?

The answer, apparently, was a hijab and matching purse.

My suggestion was ignored.

Good call. I would've voted for "an early exit so they can watch, say, a cricket game."

Because the common living is less expensive than the apartment?

I'm not a fan of cats, so seeing one trapped in a cone would not disturb me.

I have pilonidal too. It's really not that bad. I had a procedure done with no anesthetic and was told "I'll need to 100% have complete surgery in the next 25 years", and I don't understand why I just don't get it now.

Good luck tomorrow. Tell me what it's like, so I know what to expect.

This has been one of the hardest days ever for me. I have to put my dog down tonight...
