Lehner Own Goal?

So Boston won and NHL.com says this:

At 3:38 of overtime in the Senators/Bruins game, video review determined Patrice Bergeron's shot completely crossed the goal line. Good Goal Boston.

Just Curious... was the initial shot a goal or was it a goal because Lehner pushed the puck in? ..To me it didn't look in at first.

It was on the line. It was rolling slowly in and there wasn't much Lehner could do, he took off his blocker to try to get it cleanly but by then it was too late. Not sure if it was in before he nudged it.

It looked to me like it was in before he pushed it further.

I thought it was in before he knocked it farther in but I really only saw the replay once.

It looked in to me, but he only made it more conclusive when he tried to grab for it. Unfortunate way to lose in overtime.

Well the rest of the team isnt scoring, why cant the goalie give it a shot?

But it was in before he touched it. It was 100% in white ice.

It didnt look across at first...looked like he put it in...

Look like the ref had stopped play before but not sure. Either way happy with a point against prob the best team in the East.

Ottawa deserves that considering how much the team sucks.

Been awhile since I've seen a team consistently bailed out by their goaltending. Anderson, Bishop, Lehner tonight with 44 saves. Impressive group of goalies.

(and yes, I understand the injuries play a part into the team's struggles, but just saying)

I guess you also think the same about your own team

Yes, I do. Both teams are bad.
Granted, if the Sens were healthier, they'd be pretty good.

I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. Even the Ottawa GDT's recently have talked about how good the goalies have been. Not really trying to troll or anything.

don't think it was a goal til he touched it. hate boston, but glad the refs 'apparently' did not whistle this dead, good goal.

A goalie is still part of the team right?

looked inconclusive until he knocked it in.

if he had managed to get his glove over it, no goal would've been the call.

to be fair, 44/46 in an OT loss isnt bad, it's just the way it ended that was a tad disappointing.

Lehner was excellent last night. Had a bunch of rebound issues but it never came back to bite him. The game winner looked in to me, and he just made it more obvious, but it was a tough call. I had actually feared that they were going to call no goal, stating that the ref intended to blow the whistle before Lehner pushed it again (which before Lehner hit it, it was tough to tell if it was a goal).

Glad they got it right.

It was in before he pushed it even more. I sit right above the net and it went across in slow mo. As soon as the replay was shown on HDX the place went crazy.
