It's a very good trade. Give you space to spend money. Could help us fetch Perry.

Next move: Trade Desharnais for O'Reilly.
It would make my week.

I remember Carbo benching him during the playoffs and it pissed me off.

Wow... Didn't see this coming at all.
I loved Cole. I know he had a very very slow start. But he was starting to rev up the gears now. On the other hand, Ryder has been producing more points, isn't as expensive as Cole and his contract ends after this season. Meaning, we can go hard on acquiring a good UFA. Though Cole is faster and more physical. Just weird to see Ryder again after how his last season with us went. You know, the paper air planes and all...

I say....good deal.
Logical analysis... as always.

I'm sure Bergevin took note of Cole's comments this summer.
His heart really wasn't in it anymore.

Don't know how I feel. Cole was starting to get hot. His size-speed combo was something the team needed. We don't have anyone in the system to replace that, don't see what the rush was.
Now with Bourque out as well. I don't know.
But Ryder was my favorite hab while he was here.

He'll be a good fit on that Eller-Galchenyuk line. Say what you want about Ryder, but the guy can snipe

Wow did you guts hear what Lavoie just said? Said Cole wasn't a good leader at all... Was very negative and created "divisions" in the room.

Cole had been so solid lately, but Ryder also had 35 goals last year, has over twice as many points this year, makes less, and is on a lesser term.
Still shocked, and part of me will miss Cole, but it's a good deal if you consider the cap, and the short-term.

Blame Pauline Marois.
Eric had issues with his kid attending english school. Than all this stuff about Pasta being banned and he left.

The more people will think about it...the more they'll like it.
Can Bergevin go as far as trading Gionta now.....will probably be tougher to do.

True, but I think he will be productive playing with Glachy or Pleks

For everyone who was worried about Bergevin's inexperience when it came to managing the cap... he has done a better job than his predecessors.

Good trade.
Clears up cap space for the next two seasons and brings back Ryder, who is playing pretty good this season. I like it.
