I don't like this because I don't want players I really like on the habs. But I sincerely hope that he gets a big ****ing cheer when he returns to the garden. he earned it.

Cole looked terrible at any salary let alone that bloated contract. Rene Bourque is out with a concussion so depth could be an issue up the Northway . . .so lets wait on the looting and burning of downtown Montreal and the subsequent parade for a time.

I was only joking . Part of the reason I named him Ryder was because I liked Ryder on the Bruins and it would also be a name that still sounded good even if the player left. Example Zdeno wouldn't sound like a normal name if he was no longer a Bruin.

Well, thanks for putting words in my mouth. I wasn't even dumping on Ryder. Feel free to note in my post where I said anything negative about Ryder.

I'll save you some trouble and copy the post here:

at all the angst that Ryder's not back in Boston. Some of youse have short memories.

My first and only thought...what the hell is Dallas doing? Cole has been invisible this year. That's moronic on Dallas' part.
My comment about laughing at everyone who wanted Ryder back refers more to the amount HE got dumped on here....absolutely nothing to do with his play. In fact, my comment about Dallas getting fleeced would indicate that I think Ryder is the better player in this deal (although since it was for the corpse of Erik Cole, that wouldn't take a lot of effort).

Have a fantastic day, you wonderfully happy, go-lucky, positive individual who likes to call names to people they don't even know on the internetz!

P. Gauthier signed Cole to his 4 yeat deal. His advisor at the time, Bob Gainey, is now J. Nieuwendyk's advisor.

We'll see. Last summer Habs fans would have rioted if Cole was dealt.

Now fans are ready to welcome back the Forgotten son they ran out of town 5 years ago all because of Cole's ice cold start?

This is one you can't call too early.

haha okay, but you know with how diehard Bs fans are, you never know if something like this is serious and I don't see anything wrong with Zdeno as a name

while I agree this year Ryder has, a lot more offensive punch than Cole. To me the Habs just got smaller and slower with that trade.

Habs fan coming in peace. I agree with you, Ryder is slower than Cole, but honestly, he's pretty much only gonna play PP and on the 3rd line because there isn't a spot on the top 2 lines when Bourque comes back.

What the hell?! I just said that Dallas would be crazy to trade Ryder. And they go out and do it. Ryder and 3rd for freakin Cole? What was Recchi thinking?

Although this may start the flood of Marco Sturm pining from the masses.

I can't honestly believe we are gunna go into the playoffs with Chris bourque

At 3.5 it would have left change for another D-man, plus we would know what to expect. Not a lot in the regular season, and sometimes clutch in the playoffs.

I got a sick feeling watching the yotes last night. Raffi Torres. Chia wouldn't do that, right? Right?

Dallas was flat out stupid to trade Ryder. A result of his ice time last year or not, since when do "30+" goalscorers get traded for that little, and have to add a 3rd as well?
