I don't think people should be making trades just to make other trades. You trade for a guy because you think he can make your team better, not to use as a bargaining chip for other assets.
IN some cases it should be allowed, i think if its players from this year its a no, but if its from last season i agree with it... I mean i dont think 3 way trades are allowed which would enable this to be cirumvented, however it can also be argued that if they would deal the person they got the last season and the assets improve the team this season, i dont see why not.

Philadelphia Flyers

Briere-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Schenn-Simmonds
Wellwood-Couturier-Read
Zolniercyk-Talbot-Sesito

Meszaros-Coburn
Grossmann-Schenn
Gustafsson-Kessel

Briere is on the trading block, also B. Schenn, and possibly a defenseman to bring in a top LW prospect.

looking to trade Heatley for a younger RW.

I can add prospects/picks/other players to get a deal done, depending on the player.

Also willing to move Setoguchi and Palmieri for a better RW, if someone is looking for more depth.

are shopping veteran dmen Beauchemin (84), and goalie Hiller (82) as we approach the deadline. If you need depth on D/LW I'm your man.

hoping to package Desharnais and one of Braun/Borowiecki/Ellis/Thrower for either a hard hitting LHD and/or two way LH forward. Would consider moving certain prospects/picks if the deal is right. Willing to deal youth for slightly older players, unlike most in this fast sim league.

Montreal has rid itself of the smurf known as David Desharnais.

to Desharnais, Thrower and Stejskal

to Allen, Holland and Syvret

kinda tough to get rid of Thrower, but with Jones, Ellis, Diaz and Braun he was redundant. Allen gives me great D depth in the present while Syvret isn't a bad prospect. Also glad to have the Holland brothers together.

accept, I was in desperate need of a solid RH shot D prospect so thrower was key, Desharnais will be able to slot in on my 3rd/4th line and hopefully give me needed scoring depth. Plus moving Allen allows me to give more playing time to Lindholm whom I'm expecting to be a key on my team when we are ready to compete for the cup in the upcoming seasons.

Yo peeps. Andy Greene, 85 ovr D man. Looking for a new home since his team hates play off hockey.I'll take a 1st, or a decent prospect.

Intra-division deadline deal.

To
Andy Greene

To
Mike Halmo
2015 1st round pick

The Islanders pick up a high-end puck-moving d-man to get time on the power play and on the 2nd D pairing. Given the frequency of injuries, I wanted to make sure D would not be a significant weakness if any of my top 4 gets injured. New Jersey gets a 1st round pick that can become useful in this fast-paced league, as well as a solid LW prospect in Halmo. Greene has an expiring contract, so the deal makes sense for both sides.

Confirmed. I'm not really in a rebuild or anything, but I've never done well with Andy Greene. I'm much better with RH Dmen. He's a fast dude, so still a great player. I just figured I'd get a first and an okay prospect. Good luck with Andy!

Ryder or Hemsky can be had for a similar quality/age centerman with 75> FO stats, as Eller is out for the remainder of the season (right after I traded away Desharnais...of course). Can include Roszival, Braun, Borowiecki or prospects/picks for the right player. Fielding offers, PM me.

Nick Backstrom on the block (85 OVR G).

Looking for a good prospect/pick, or a roster player (doesn't really matter the position) that I could put into my lineup now.
