Hey guys! Is the general consensus on here that Kaberle is a better option on the blue line than Weber? I'm just asking out of curiosity. It seems apparent that both of these guys have limited time left in MTL. It would seem a better idea to showcase Weber for a possible trade later this season while it seems nothing can really save Kaberle from his cap hit. Any opinion on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Definitely agree with the consensus that Kaberle is better. Indeed, if not for his cap hit, Kaberle isn't even "bad" at all. He'd be playing for most NHL teams IMHO. Habs just happened to hit upon success with a different mix.
And it's also far more advantageous to the Habs if they can ultimately find any kind of trade for Kaberle. So on that front too, far better to play Kaberle.
