I would too. He is too good a player, leader and person to not lockup longterm.

Let's get back to Horton. IMO RW is our weakest depth position. Having said that I'm of the opinion that he can walk if he wants a gold mine. I'd like to see a faster "sniper" on Krejci RW.

Call me crazy but I think that Soderberg could replace Nate in relatively short order. Just a hunch.

Chris Kunitz signed extension today for 3 years at 3.8 per.

I think the bruins should offer Horty 3 years @ 4 mill each and if he takes it, great, if not, walk away. He wants to play for a contender. I know its a home town discount but this recent signing of Kunitz makes it a lot more realistic.

You could try but he's probably not gonna take it. All things considered, I think that's a fair deal for Kunitz and not a steal like a lot of people are suggesting. His play and stats are inflated like crazy on that team.

The bad can out weigh the good when it comes to Horton. But...

Bad.

He has/had trouble controlling passes from the D coming out of our end and seemed to lose them in his feet and just not being able to handle the pass.

Seemed like at times with that line if Looch didn't get it out or Krejci didn't skate it out they got hemmed in.

His board play/hitting vanished for long stretches and it hurt us in some ways. They needed him banging and crashing.

Good.

The guy can still shoot the puck, even with the bad shoulder he was letting them rip and they had speed to them.

Was able to find certain areas where the puck just came to him, allowing him to score dirty goals/easy goals.

When he had the puck he had the ability to skate and has good speed and good vision.

PC has a decision to make and I'm glad it's him and not me. Do you pay him the big bucks knowing that his "jam" or "mojo" could be gone because of the concussion or do you hope it comes back in time like it did with Bergeron.

Do you pay him to be the guy who scores the garbage goal every once in a while or do you give the spot to Seguin and bring in someone cheaper to play with Bergeron and Marchand.

Not sayin you're crazy, but not sayin you aint!

Don't think the left-shooting Yeti would work all that great as DK's RW.

You can't be serious.I think Soderberg will start somewhere in the bottom 6 and we will see what he's got.

Maybe you're right. I just see him as a better LW or C than a RW.

As you say, we'll see.
