Yes, with the NSH 2nd or our own 2nd.

Chicoutimi now up 5-3.

Blades down 2-0 in the 3rd.

Has a Memorial Cup host ever been eliminated in round 1?

Last year the Shawinigan Cataractes were eliminated round 2 but won so it was made a big deal...so can't imagine round 1 elimination are common.

It's not that uncommon but I'm predicting a comeback for Sask.

They were skating better in the third period so maybe they will.

There has been something not right with this team all year, it's not necessarily wrong but the chemistry is just off, they have enough talent but the players seem to be pulling and pushing against each other at the same time.

Dietz pulled an epic move on Shinkaruk in the first game. It was near the end of the game and Saskatoon had pulled it's goalie and the puck had gotten out of the Tiger's end and Shinkaruk had a half-step on Dietz. So Dietz used his stick like a canoe oar to Shinkaruk's mid-section and used his stick in a rowing motion to slow Shinkaruk down while simultaneously giving himself a turbo boost of speed and was able to get to the puck ahead of Shinkaruk. Shinkaruk was still livid about it 5 minutes later when he was complaining to the ref's. It looked like a natural movement until you stop and think how did Dietz win that race until they showed a replay of it. It should of penalty, which would of been an automatic goal because there wasn't a goalie in the Blades net at the time.

Yea that's not an "epic move" .. it's called hooking and poor refereeing.

I think he means it's epic because at full speed it looked as if he was just skating hard.

Nystrom has 2 assists in 4 games in the relegation round. Not exactly high quality competition there but not bad production.

Nygren continues to be a beast in the SEL playoffs, 3 assists in 5 games.

Pribyl on the other hand...0 points in 6 playoff games, ouch.

Michigan up 4-0 on Miami. Looks like they will make the NCAAs after all.

edit: nevermind, they still have to win tomorrow, too.

Bozon with a pair of goals. One off his face and in the net, the other an easy one after Smith stole the puck.

Notre-Dame taking a 2-1 early lead in the 3rd...Not Bennett and Trouba best shift there...

I don't see Bennett doing a Schultz out of himself. Doesn't have the numbers nor the performance to do so. Not sure what would be his benefit.

With all the guys we have....I'm pretty tempted to wish he'd stick around one more year in Michigan.

You saw the game, and I haven't, but here.

Montreal draft pick Mac Bennett has been very good this weekend for Michigan. Bennett plays on the first pairing with Jacob Trouba.

N-D wins this.....Summerhays, ND goalie, just made an incredible save on Moffie I think.

Racine, Michigan goalie, tries to go the bench to get 6 guys in, misread the play, N-D comes in and shoot in an empty net.

Looked like Bennet was moved off of Trouba's pairing when he made that mistake on the second goal. Quiet game overall for him.

Bennett is usually reliable. Good first pass and all....but at where he is now, you would expect to see him use his speed to be more than that.

By the way, he is still a good prospect for us. Just thought that today, he wasn't that noticeable. Unless he becomes a speedier Gorges and we're all happy about that.
