You'd think the Canucks trainers would have addressed such an elementary training issue.

Well in Vancouver his only injury that could be attributed to that was the groin strain, that was also a common injury after last lock out. His injuries are more impact related, and he plays a high impact game in the "dirty areas" so that is going to get him injured.

ugh

Another wasted year for the Canucks and Booth.

I don't know. Maybe he should pray more.

But that doesn't mean he won't get kneed coming across the middle, or won't have somebody fall on an extended appendage.

It's luck. Those injuries are based purely on luck (or lackthereof).

The groin strain, was inactivity based. Hell, I just about strained mine at pond hockey with my daughther this weekend.

Booth has had terrible luck with injuries that he couldn't have prevented, except maybe his groin injury, but he's really making it hard to make a case to keep him around at this point.

****. Definitely out for the season is my guess. Sucks for Booth, sucks for the fans, sucks for the team.

He's getting traded for Malkin.

That's interesting. I don't know anything about that type of stuff, but I'm reminded of that picture of Jason Garrison's calves. Those are just massive. I have no idea about the size of garrison's thighs, but I hope he doesn't run into any problems like booth.

I'm pretty sure AV said that when booth came to the team that he was actually overtraining and they had to tell him to cut down his workouts and that is why he was tired during games when we first got him. I wonder if he is still training too hard.

All hockey players have ridiculous thighs. They've had them since at least their Junior days in most causes, I don't buy the weak ligaments.

Groin tears happen no matter what in this league.

Well, it's not exactly MG's fault Booth has been on the end of some pretty crappy luck in the injuries department. Cheap hits or just straight up freak accidents.

I don't really get the hate either. Random injuries that could happen to anyone.

It just always seems to happen to Booth, specifically.

That's exactly what I was thinking. We didn't exactly give them much (or anything back).

We also got a third round pick in the deal. (Not sure if we still have it or not).

We ended up trading a 3rd to get Lapierre so that essentially just got us a 3rd round pick for whatever draft that was.
