Not sure about him. He seems pretty immature and I would hesitate to give up what it would cost while having questions about his makeup.
Probably will turn out to be a good player for the long haul but I'd pass and put the energy, $, and assets towards somebody with less risk. For example, I would go hard after Bobby Ryan rather than Kane.
However, I don't see this as the kind of trade the Bruins will pursue. Moot point.
Out of the thousands of trade proposals of yours I have read Taz - this may be the best one. Somewhat realistic too. Gotta give to get. Mind you. Winnipeg would need to fall a bit out of the race soon for this to happen.
Not to interject out of line, but Kaoz did recently admit to "look(ing) for the bad" in Krejci's game.
I kind of get the impression that the on-going pissing match between Kaoz & KrejciMVP is between one poster that's biased in one direction and one poster that's biased in the other.
Neither are entirely impartial in this one, IMHO.
I'm not partial to Krejci's game, I more then admit that and haven't been for a while. If you only recently see that I'm not his biggest fan then you've been missing out .
I don't really have to look for the bad, things that I dislike are just there when I watch.
I'm not partial to his game and make no bones about it, but it isn't blind hate. There are times believe it or not when I say "not at the expense of Krejci" (such as an Iginla rental for instance). I can talk about why I don't like his game with specific examples of things, time periods, etc..., and I don't rule out nor refuse to accept the potential possibility that he could become more consistent and make me look pretty silly.
When we talk about a top 6 guy swap, he's my choice for the reasons I've highlighted many times before. Others might be more inclined to let Horton go...not me, for a team that's big and bad we're too lacking in the big part of it imo. I'd like them to get bigger on the wing honestly. Others may choose to single out Seguin, or Lucic, or Marchand as cap going the other way in this type of deal... not me.
In that regard I'm biased against Krejci, but no more so then most are biased against Kelly, Horton, Seguin or whatever other forward they deem expendable on the team.
I really like E.Kane. I really think he can be a very good player. But, I really don't see us trading for Kane with any of the below players involved:
I could possibly see Krejci being involved but to what extent...I really only see some youth/prospects going to Atlanta. Such as: Camara,Koko,Spooner and or pick(s) in some capacity haha. I'm not totally convinced Kane would be available anyway...
I wonder what Bruins fans would be willing to give up for Kane if he never knocked out Matt Cooke.
It's his goal scoring and style that interests me. He's dropped 30 already and will no doubt only get better (already has 9 in 20 this year). That's high end.
Then you consider the style of game. Milan Lucic leads the forward corp with 69 hits... Chris Bourque a distant second with a whopping 24 hits. You have Lucic and Horton up front with size, then nothing. That's worrisome, especially considering Horton is a UFA.
If Kane was at all attainable I'd be after him.
But knocking out Matt Cooke was pretty darn cool too. Could probably market it, might be a bonus.
