We've gotten points in 6 of our 7 last games, and 5 of those were wins.
While I do think the winning tapers off, if we keep bringing it to OT and continue having a hard working team + great goaltending... anything could happen.
I'm not opposed to trading one or two players for picks -- but I wouldn't sell the whole farm right now. Its incredible what the Sens have done with their 4 top players out of the lineup. We've played some of the higher tiered teams and still managed come away not totally lit up.
I am SO proud of this team and how they have done. Good games and bad. I expected A LOT worse, and this team has heart!
I'd like to see how we fair the next few games first before just calling it quits on the season. If we can get out of this long road trip with being 0.500% or better, I'd say lets keep on trucking!
I thought the "" was implied, but I guess I was too subtle.
Haha, well I stick by what I said! I'm proud of this team and what they've done thus far!
But you are right... woosh! I blame house full of kids and screaming babies for my lack of perception and inability to catch on to sarcasm!
Just wanna remind everyone joining the O'Brien bandwagon now, I was on this guy before anybody. I became an HFboards member the year we drafted O'Brien to better follow him. I am the happiest guy on here for what he's turning into. Kid is gonna be a star! My boy!
You highlighted the part where I said "granted he had more help"....
And I'm just saying there was a HUGE difference between what Kelly had to work with and what Turris is working with. I think that alone adds to the pressure he's putting on himself.
Sens lose, barely. It just and I mean JUST sneaks by like an inch by the goal line to put away the 'W' for Boston. A valiant effort by all. Not to be discouraged. We got a point and many players played good. Lehner played excellent in his 1st game of the year. Sticking around and almost winning against Boston overall is good, i'd say. Nice try boys. Let's bounce back and put up the effort for the 'W' on Saturday against Philly.
Also, after checking Capgeek for the best UFA's on the bottem 4, Milan Hejduk seems like the BPA. However, if we could land Vanek, I would be first in line for season tickets next year.

Agreed this team has been amazing to root for the past two seasons. Every time it looks like they are down and out they find a way to bounce back. Was pretty sure when all the injuries happened that the team was finished, but this six game stretch has proven that these guys can compete.

Not sure who is out there that can play a regular shift.
I think Cowen would make a pretty significant difference.
I provided a list of players that I think could be available in the team toughness thread. There is a variety of skill level at a variety of costs from that list. Some of the guys on the list are only 4th liners that can possibly play about 10 minutes a game and some of the other players were legit 2nd or 3rd liners. I only put forwards on that list though. I figured that if the Senators wanted more toughness on D, then they would either call up Borocop or Sdao when he signs.
