Well, looks like Ryan Suter won't be on the 2014 Olympic team even if the NHL is going:
While I bet there may be a little resentment...anyone who doesn't take Suter as the #1 USA D player is a ****ing moron.

Not bad odds. And I would rather play Detroit 1st round out of all of those to be honest. Less travel and not nearly as scary as STL could be.

Dallas is nowhere near the test that Vancouver was. We hadn't won in that arena in I believe the last 11 games there. And Detroit is another team that just always seems to have our number at the Joe. Dallas is just like Calgary is in my eyes, a shell of its former self.

I agree. This team is firing on all cylinders now. And while I was excited last year when we were in 1st, I knew it wouldn't last. This actually appears to be pretty legit. We may not catch Anaheim or Chicago, but the 3rd seed is home ice for the 1st round. What a treat for the fans.
********Sports has become one of my best friends this season. Whenever I get back from work I just stop in at my dorm, grab my laptop, head to dinner, then stream the game online. I've hardly watched any Wild game this season on a television, always online on my laptop instead. It also gives me a chance to listen to the opposing team's commentators instead of our awful ones.
I don't have cable so this is really the only way for me to watch the nationally broadcast games. Unfortunately the quality is horrible. It's like watching a series of impressionist paintings of a hockey game.
