Wild dropping to 7th in my projection, which means facing Anaheim at home...again.

Down to 18th in goals per game. 11th in goals against. 20th in shots per game. 14th in PP%. 12th in PK. Everything is going the wrong way for this team at the wrong time.

With Heatley out for this season, do they put him on LTIR? And if so, will that open up the cap necessary to call up Zucker?

I did some reading from the CBA, and it turns out that LTIR players are not eligible for compliance buyouts. That likely means GMCF won't put Heater on LTIR.

I wish we would hurry up and put either Heater or Harding on LTIR. We need Zucker NOW.

How many days until we have enough cap space to call him up without LTIR'ing someone?

No idea. I know someone said something about too many callups from the minors.

Yeo seems perfectly content to go down with the ship without making drastic changes.

Can't we just send Clark or Prosser to Houston? If Jokinen didn't go in waivers, I doubt either of them would go either.

Why did they even sign Clark if they had no intention of playing him? Waste of money.

lol you're taking my words out of context my friend. I meant who cares what player is waived at this point if it means getting a call up no hostility intended

i don't think Heater is getting bought out anyways, as i've said before his cap is higher then his actual pay and if wild eat say 1.5 million that means for 3.5 mil real money a team can get a guy who might score 20g(he was on pace for 25 this year) and get a 5.5/cap hit

Also its not like Leipold wants to just thow away how ever much money he has to pay heater. Its like 5 months until he has to give 20 million to two guys, he might care that he's giving a guy more money who won't play for him.

i think Wild try and do trade heater before buyouts take place.

I'd go the other way on Leipold. His willingness to pay $200M for two players and still go out and pay for a guy like Pominville, he's not going to suddenly cheap out and save a couple million to keep a player like Heatley if it doesn't help the team.

I agree...I'm sure Fletcher will let it be known that Heatley is available for trade. But I also think that if there are no takers, he'll be bought out.

Question for CBA experts: Can he be bought out if he is injured, but NOT placed on LTIR? And if so, by not placing him on LTIR, will it be safe to then assume that he will definitely be bought out? Because if they WEREN'T planning on buying him out, wouldn't they place him on LTIR which would give them some cap flexibility the rest of the way this season?

Ah, sorry. I was wondering that it's a bit strong coming from you.

Mind you, English still isn't my first language. And yes, I will use that excuse until I'm being eaten by maggots six feet under.

WTF Yeo? Please explain how it is Gilbert got the press box for 2 games while Clayton gets a pat on the back and a "Go get em Tiger" speech?

Thu Apr 11, 2013 Blues Wild
Sat Apr 13, 2013 Blue Jackets Wild
Mon Apr 15, 2013 Wild Flames
Tue Apr 16, 2013 Wild Oilers
Thu Apr 18, 2013 Wild Sharks
Sun Apr 21, 2013 Flames Wild
Tue Apr 23, 2013 Kings Wild
Fri Apr 26, 2013 Oilers Wild
Sat Apr 27, 2013 Wild Avalanche

Based on that list... Predict the W/L for the rest of the season...
  • Thu Apr 11, 2013 Blues Wild = W
  • Sat Apr 13, 2013 Blue Jackets Wild = W
  • Mon Apr 15, 2013 Wild Flames = W
  • Tue Apr 16, 2013 Wild Oilers = W
  • Thu Apr 18, 2013 Wild Sharks = L
  • Sun Apr 21, 2013 Flames Wild = W
  • Tue Apr 23, 2013 Kings Wild = L
  • Fri Apr 26, 2013 Oilers Wild = W
  • Sat Apr 27, 2013 Wild Avalanche = W

The Wild currently have 46 points. My prediction is that they finish with 60.
