^_^ It could be worse.

But yeah. I had a sneaky suspicion given how much we were counting on Suter and Brodin down the stretch, one of them would have a small injury.

Forgive me, because I really don't know which thread to put this in. It's about the Wild, but pretty damn comical. And we could use the laughs.

One of the features that I've always loved reading in the game programs is called Off the Glass. It has 3-4 players giving short answers to some random questions. This most recent one is why I hope Butch and Spurg aren't allowed to touch the music in the locker room. I hope those two were being sarcastic, yet wouldn't be surprised if they were being honest.

When asked their musical guilty pleasure, Butch listed Celine Dion. WTH? And Spurg listed Justin Bieber, while also admitting that one of his fears is snakes.

I can understand the snakes part, being afraid of everything that's poisonous and stings myself. However... Justin Bieber? Well, I guess this is a case of "nobody's perfect"... I'll need some time to digest this. It might be sarcasm though.

Might be.

NHL.com asked some guys to rank NHL GMs. Holland(DET) got first, Lamoriello(NJD) got second, and Chiarelli(BOS) got third.

I don't understand how Lamoriello can be ranked so high after losing multiple top-level guys to free agency multiple times. And he had never addressed the issue of having an aging goaltender.

Fletcher only got one vote, from Barry Melrose, for 7th place. Oh well.

B/c those people are basing it entirely on how their respective teams have been over their tenure. Holland and Lamoriello wouldn't be in my Top 3 from this year. But if I'm looking at the three teams that have been almost a sure fire consistent team in the last decade, it is those three.

Its because they win games and make the playoffs then win stanley cups. Flashy trades don't ****ing matter its about putting a product on the ice that wins games every year. Fletcher is where he belongs in the poll imo. The one thing he has done is sign two great free agents to massive deals. The scouting is all Flahr and his staff. Fletcher should be at the bottle of the barrel given his trade history.

Because of Zenon Konopka’s injury, which sources tell me is a broken foot, Jason Zucker was considered an emergency callup. Because that was considered an emergency, technically Mikael Granlund remained an emergency. That means the Wild still has exhausted only two of its four non-emergency callups – not the maximum. This is only important because there may come a point where the Wild may want to give Marco Scandella a shot.

However, for that to happen, the Wild would have to put Dany Heatley or Josh Harding on retroactive Long Term Injury Reserve to create the cap space. The Wild has so little cap space right now, GM Chuck Fletcher may go over the ceiling if he buys a coffee and a bagel (just a joke). Honestly, it’s like $6,000 or $7,000 bucks shy of the ceiling.

Yep. I guess shoulder because he said something about his shot being affected when he wound up, but didn't when he was wrist shooting it.

The good news? His family was also around to watch the Wild game Thursday. Plus, Coyle said his two nephews enjoyed watching him fight Brandon Dubinsky Saturday.

But yeah, keep being negative. This is how the Wild board rolls, apparently.
