Yeah, I saw a tweet from someone that said 8th. They're giving up tons of shots but at least they are moving in the right direction.

Hmmmmm.....looks like Holmgren ****ed up yet again. How does this guy still have a job? Deals Richards and Carter, they go onto win the Cup. Deals JVR to reunite the brothers Schenn, and JVR is having a solid season. Decides to run with Bryzgalov and deals Bob who is having a solid season.

Problem with Bob doing good is....less an less options for Berny going into the summer. Let alone if Van finally decides to move someone and the Boston backup looking decent.

Agree, that's why the Kings are fortunate. Those deals came at the perfect time, no matter how unintentional the cap hit situation was, it is great to have that advantage now.

An real oddity. Didn't put up much resistance in playoffs though did they?

Ducks are clearly winning and playing well. Good for them. They have the division locked up already. We'll see how they do going forward.

The way I look at it, the dux really didn't have much of a choice but to re-sign both Perry and Getzlaf. And I'm actually glad they both re-signed as we can keep the cross-town rivalry going.

Could you imagin the dux without Perry, Getzlaf and eventually Selanne. It just wouldn't be the same.

once koivu and selanne retire it will open some space for them, but down the road they are going to have some serious money issues. what is that something like 23% of their cap will be spent on those two guys ($16M+ and a $69M cap).

i've seen reports that they are 'comfortable' with Ryan's $5.1M next season. well that is all i've read....'next season'. it doesn't say anything about beyond that. i can't see them being able to afford Ryan past that and he will certainly be looking for a raise. they lose Ryan and that great top line is now 2/3's of what it was.

Fowler....when and where his number comes in.

imo they will be cash strapped down the road and be filling roster spots with some very low priced players to make it all fit together. if they don't draft well, they will really be in a bad spot. i am glad they resigned both to those contracts, because i think in 2-3 years they are going to handicap them make them a worse team

If the dux do trade for a 2C as it's been rumored, they are going to be tough. They are probably the most balanced team in the league assuming they hold onto both Fasth and Hiller. Wonder if DL counter with a move of his own...

It would absolutely suck if we got knocked out by the dux and they went onto win the cup.

The Ducks are a legit team this year, Their shooting % is a little whacky.

But that team can do it all.

Oh, I know. They're already an elite team. To think that they will add a bona fide 2C is disturbing. It just may push DL to overpay for Iggy.

Not sure, Lombardi doesn't strike me as a guy that does (reactionary trades).

The Ducks last bad looking regulation loss was against the Kings.

The Kings match up pretty good.

Not sure he would fall to us. If he did, I am not sure Dean would put in a claim. If we did claim him, it would be almost certain that we would either let Scuderi go in the offseason or buyout Mitchell, given that Komi is signed @ $4.5 million for this year and the next. Wouldn't be a horrible move either way, depending on what Dean has in store for us at the deadline.

If it was just shooting percentage, I'd agree. It's not though. That's the point.

Ducks are really not that scary. One line + ancient Koivu + Selanne. Blueline that scares nobody and a rookie goalie that who knows how well will hold up. They are a good team, but not even close to as good as their record indicates.

Is that based upon the score-adjusted Fenwick?

Very pricey, but maybe that's a good thing as it may scare off others from claiming him. Other than his cap hit, I really like the idea of adding him. He sounds like the mean sob that we're looking for. He can hit, play d and stand up for his teammates and he's right handed.

Go ahead Deano, pull the trigger.

Hell no to Komisarek. The guy is being jettisoned from one of the worst franchises of the past decade and he has a huge contract. Pass.

Pass on Komi. Not worth it and our defense is fine as of now.
