Okay, let's just call a spade a spade:

The Habs played a fantastic road game. I can give them that.

However - even if you take out the calls they missed (there's a few every game, win or lose on our side), it didn't become ugly, until the very clearly NOT. BOARDING call on Brown.

Then you have to kill a five minute penalty, which your goaltender (Thanks, Scrivens), lets a puck in, because he didn't see where he was clearing it. Then there was the five hole.

Then, we get a penalty shot, where, personally, the powerplay would have clearly benefited us. Then - in a season where the refs have thrown out like a million players every few puck drops - OUR guy decides to drop the puck when the home team player wasn't ready.

we didn't play well, but come on

also - a big part of our game is our physicality. when you're flat out told, start something, and you'll get game misconducts, you have to adjust to THEIR game, which just sucks again.

Let them have it. We killed them worse two weeks ago and still lead the season series 2-1.

Amusing that some have to resort to trolling our board after the game. Now that is sad and pathetic.

Colton Orr was better than JVR in every facet of the game. Think about that.

Kessel's lackadaisical defense can be so frustrating after a loss. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET HURT BY TOUCHING ANOTHER PLAYER. FIGHT FOR THE PUCK SUPERSTAR.

We haven't really played well lately even in games we've won.

Nonis needs to recognize that and get help.
It looked the Leafs came out with a very conscious plan to physically punish the Habs. It worked to a point, but I think the problem with that game plan is that it tires the hitter almost as much as the hit-ee. Leafs may have been responding to last game rather than playing their own game. Habs, on the other hand, were totally focused on forgetting last game and playing theirs.

Mostly a close, intense game. We're both still playoff teams.

Holzer experiment needs to end. He's been so unbelievably brutal and it wasn't just tonight. Put Gunnar, who is actually good back with Dion and call up Gardiner, send Holzer down.

Scrivens... man, I know the defense was awful tonight but I didn't think he was good either. I guess he was sort of able to keep the team within reach for most of the game so that's something I suppose? Also, please just stay in net. I get scared whenever he is doing anything with the puck.

Bad game overall. Outshot badly, didn't shoot or generated much offense at all. Kessel line was terrible. Yup, it happens. Hopefully we'll have a better one next game.

Leafs 2; Habs 2; Refs 2

...and an empty netter.. it was no 6-0 performance; that's for sure.

I've noticed that whenever a team refuses to try to compete with our toughness, they usually outplay us. When things get physical/testosterone flairs up, we usually dominate the game, but when the opposing team ignores the fighting aspect... we're quiet, and our tough guys become more of a negative.

Also, our best players are supposed to be Phaneuf\Kessel, these are the obviously the faces of our team... their efforts are often nconsistent and often leave alot to be desired.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, we need to replace one of them with an emotional leader. Preferably Phanuef, I'm completely opposed to giving a player a Captaincy, and expecting him to earn it afterwards. Phaneuf should've earned it, then been given it.

Trade Phaneuf.

What was more pathethic then the Leafs losing today? The fans at the ACC. How the **** do you let the Habs Fans Ole you out of the building. If your gonna go to a Toronto Maple Leaf game and be so quiet where you get cheers from the montreal fans at the end of the game, you should have never been at the game.

Go to a library you mother****ers not to a Leaf game.

Holzer has played poorly in the last few games and has cost us some goals. Scrivens looked shaky again of course. Hopefully Frattin and Gardiner are ready to go soon.

Perhaps time to bring up Gardiner? They could use his speed from the back end.

Glad they're playing tomorrow. Leafs play well after a loss.
