oates is getting his team back on track. good for him. always liked the guy.
Always hated the Capitals but always liked Oates so as long as they don't make too much noise in the playoffs, I will root for him to succeed. He's a good egg as they say. Boston has tons of trouble against Montreal, Florida and Washington every year it seems like.
They're currently the luckiest team in the league. Everyone's shooting well and Reimer and Scrivens are putting up Lundqvist/Rinne-esque numbers. It's not gonna last forever.
This is what's happening. Reimer was steaming garbage last year. I watched him plenty, this year he's doing good. And he played pretty sharp the other night I'll give him that. Because he's playing like Lundqvist (As well as Scrivens) I have to think that's why they're doing well this year. Goaltending was usually their problem. Whereas a team like Tampa Bay has a steaming garbage of a defense. It doesn't matter who you put in the net there.
Though we made them look like a Jennings Trophy contender last night.
