Atoms for Peace - Amok

Debut album came out February 26th. Thom Yorke just proves again that he will never make a bad album.

I swear I've listened to it about 15 times already.

I love Radiohead, and the Eraser too. But this album isn't very good, getting attention solely because of the bandmembers rather than their output.

Your opinion. I'd give it a solid 8/10. First listen I wasn't that impressed, the next few listens and a bong rips later, and I thought it was a very solid, nothing ground breaking, but good.

8.5/10. Much like The Eraser, it's very low-key and lacking in scope compared to Radiohead's albums, but very good in its own quiet little way.

I also enjoyed it. As mentioned, fans of The Eraser should check it out.

Here's the first single from the album:

Pretty good album I give it a 7/10. It is low key and subtle. I do agree with Pitchfork() in that I wish he utilized the band members a little more like Flea who is a very energetic/great bass player.

Still, they were going for subtle and atmospheric rather than solos so they all played their parts/roles well.

When I was listening to it I kept thinking how awesome it would be if Flea got John Frusciante to collaborate with them. Seems like he would fit right in with some of those tracks.

Only problem with that is Thorn Yorke hates guitars.
