Is anybody going to ESPN for hockey news and opinion first anymore though? But, yes, Scott Burnside is a big time tool... You would think a Hockey writer based in Atlanta would have some sympathy for poorly mismanged smaller market teams.

The only was Dubinsky's name could come up is due to the fact he has no NTC or NMC. The same with JMFJ but Frankly, CBJ is not in a cap crunch so I'm not sure why his salary matters.
However, I wouldn't overlook people who have those clauses either. If Dubinsky is truly being shopped, you'd have to think Umberger's name comes up as well. Jarmo could sit him down like a man and say "Look, I know you have a NTC but I really feel it is best for the team if we trade you and we don't think you fit into ur future plans." If it is a deal where it could be good for Umberger and the team, I don't know how anyone could say no.

There is no tooth fairy. Umbie (or anyone with a NTC) could just say so what, I'm not going just pay me. Sit me if you want but I ain't going.

That is certainly their fair right to do so but when it comes down to it, these guys want to play hockey. You'd certainly have to tread lightly to avoid the scene getting ugly but I honestly can't think of that scenario ever occurring. The players get their money 1 way or the other. The NTC or the MNC just gives the player more leverage on where they can be traded to.
Bruce Garrioch (I know, I know...) reports today in the Ottawa Sun that Jarmo is shopping Dubinsky because of his salary.
**** that monkey****-eating piece of ****. He's a loudmouthed ****ing **** who couldn't **** from his own *** if you spotted him a plate of **** from Taco Bell. He's a ****ing ****ing bigmouth ****er, that's what that ****ing ****er is.
oh my g-d that's brilliant and wonderful and awesome and I LOVE IT.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
You win five straight, point in seven straight and take and home and home from the Red Wings and people notice. While I'm not ready to call us a playoff team, we've finally caught some attention for doing good. And it feels nice.
