Easy on the Ducks love. This is the exact same team that didn't even make the playoffs last year. And 2 of their top 4 scorers are
38 and 42 years old. That's not exactly positioning themselves for a contender status for the next 2-4 years. And Beauchemin and Souray are logging the most minutes on the blueline. Fowler is a nice young offensive piece, but he's not a Doughty, Weber, or even Suter.
They aren't a bad franchise or anything, but their hot run here isn't indicative of a team I think will be an enduring playoff force for any amount of time. Particularly if the rumors are true Perry is bolting to free agency.
