I agree. This team has some roster issues which need to be addressed. A solid third wheel for Malkin's line is of the utmost importance. That line hasn't done anything 5 on 5 all year and we won't go far in the playoffs if that's not resolved.
Neal is not a primary linemate for a top 6 center at this point. Not moving his feet. Invisible at ES.

I'm certainly not sold on Muller so far. The Canes are doing well because they have two top lines that keep the puck in the O zone away from a pathetic D and hot and cold goalies. Special teams are anything but special at this point.

Even Paul Bissonnette gives Phoenix an occasional point, and he doesn't even dress every night. Glass gets over 10 minutes to suck the big one nightly.

He may be one of the worst Penguins in a long, long time.

But we can't scratch him. Naw, he gets to our game. Gotta keep him in there.

Now that I think about it...Glass is pretty much as bad as Bylsma was as an NHL player. So, it makes sense to see him play as much as he does. This coach is such a joke, it's scary.

Not looking forward to what lies ahead live and in person in Montreal Saturday night.
Eh, Pens will probably win and all will be well.

Either that or it will be less painful to watch than your own proctological exam on tv.

I agree with this

How ironic would it be if the Pens lose in a gloriously convincing fashion against Montreal, and Bylsma gets canned?

And you don't think adding Kunitz, or a similar type player might resolve that?

NO PERSONAL COMMENTS OR THE THREAD GETS LOCKED.

Canes fans are allowed ot comment as long as they're constructive about it. Nothing wrong with them defending their team as long as they're not trolling or cutting someone down.

Personally I agree they're not as bad as some here make them out to be and we aren't as "elite" as some imply, either. Our total lack of consistency and inability to gain a lead and put teams away should be proof enough of that. Having elite talents on the roster doesn't mean the team as a whole qualifies.

Yeah, but he hated Therrien. Big difference. He's pissed off now because the last thing he wants ever again is a coach who might ever hold him accountable for anything.

True, but in both situations he knew the coach and consequently the team was in a dire position.

Hey has an awesome name and he's on twitter.

You can't possible need more reasons, right?

He's one of the guys responsible for the Leafs turnaround. Head coach of the Marlies.

He can't leave for another NHL job during this season per his contract.

He implements discipline and structure and holds players accountable, but will be honest with them along the way.

I think he's the guy you could most credit for Kadri being one of the better players in the league so far this year.

I think it would because a player like that would allow both Malkin AND Neal to play to their respective strengths, just like Kunitz did last year, just like Talbot (who morphed into Malone 2.0) did for Malkin and Feds during the cup run, and just like Malone did for Malkin and Sykora.

That was bad. Really poor defensive effort in particular, I thought.

I fear that his coaching style is very similar to Bylsma's...

At this point, as long as he's not Bylsma, it's fine by me. Sort out the rest in the offseason.

I honestly think some kind of move will be made before he's fired. If the team sucks after a move or gets blown away in the first round only then will he get fired.
