Rangers Prospects In Playoffs

Maybe we can sticky this.

So far good night for Dawes. Dawes has 1 goal and 1 assist in tonights game vs Kamloops Blazers. Kozak and Byers each got 2 points in their game vs Bahensky and the Saskatoon Blades. Kozak had 2 goals and Byers had 2 assist. Jonasen had an assist in his game vs Seattle Thunderbirds. Joey Crabb got a goal and assist tonight vs Montoya and the Univ. of Michigan

Dubinsky on fire

Dubinsky had 2 goals and an assist in Friday nights game and added a shorthanded goal in Sundays game against Everett in their first round playoff matchup. Brandon has clearly been the best player on the ice for the Winterhawks even though his normal winger, and leading scorer for the hawks Dan DaSilva, is out with a concussion. Dubinsky has been dangerous every time he touches the puck so far in the playoffs.

From what I read, see and hear about him, he reminds me alot of Darcy Tucker but not that much of a dirty player. I can see Dubinsky being a second or 3rd line centre in the future.

Have you seen him play much...

maniac? Seems like a late-bloomer, who could've also shot his load.

Bruce Graham (Moncton Wildcats) has done a whole lot of nothing thus far in the playoffs. Not much offensive production, if any, and in the two home games he was really not all that involved in anything.

I've been out of the loop, has he played many games since coming back from the injury?

I think he is playing well lately because at begining of the year there were rumors that he might be traded and when the deadline past he started to get points again. So when he knew the team was commited to him he started to rack points up. He got an assist last night also. Maineiacs have a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. It is has to be like an Yankee like choke that Paiement won't be playing in Rd 2.

And I assume...

it was most y'all New Englanders who expected that type of choke...hopefully it'll be a good outcome for Paiement and the Maniacs. Thanks for the insight.

Let me just think about that. I think Graham has had about 6-10 games since coming back from the injury. But he played better in the 3 regular season games I saw of him than he has in the two playoff games in Moncton.

Whoo!

Psurny was a pain in Phaneuf's side all game. He did a GORGEOUS pass to Robertson who ended up on a breakaway...but tripped over his own two feet. Sweet pass by Roman anyways.

Dubinsky had a goal in Portland's 3-2 win yesterday. Baranka also scored a goal in the game for Everett. Everett leads the series 3-2.

Dawes did not play for an injury reason in his teams 5-2 win. Can't find out what the injury was since its playoff time and they really don't release injury news but I heard it was a last minute decision to keep him out so it probably isn't that bad.

Dubinsky is tied in 3rd in the leauge in the playoffs with 8 points in 6 games. (4g 4a)

Prucha with 8 points(4g,4a) in 12 games so far in the playoffs

Quote:
In Czech Republic Extra League action on Tuesday, Pardubice eliminated Liberec with a 4-1 win in Game Five of their best-of-seven Semifinals game. Rangers forward prospect Petr Prucha continued his offensive hot streak, posting his fourth goal and eighth point of the playoffs (12 games) in the win. In 47 regular season games this season, Prucha registered 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) and 24 penalty minutes.

Rangers European Scout Jan Gajdosik on Prucha's recent playoff performances:
"Petr was recently moved to a line with (Edmonton Oilers winger) Ales Hemsky and this move has been positive for both players. Petr has been very proactive, creative and quick. Everything he does is at a high pace. He has skated hard on every shift and has been effective in all three zones of the ice. He has played on the power play and penalty killing units very effectively as well. He has upgraded his level of play with the importance of each game so far."

Dawes missed yesterday night game again with his undisclosed injury. His team won 7-1 to advance to the next round.

Edit - Dubinsky and Portland play game 7 tomorrow in Everett.

Game 1 of Dawes vs Baranka (Kootenay vs Everett) was tonight and Dawes returned from his undisclosed injury after missing the previous 3 games.

Kootenay won 4-2, Dawes was held pointless and Baranka scored a goal.

Dawes did not get any points. Probably playing through the injury he sustained a few games ago. Sagat(not a rangers prospect) got a hatrick for Kootenay Ice but 2 of the goals were EN goals.
