Dawes/Kootenay lost game one 4-2 to the Rockets. Dawes got 2 assists in the loss.

Hes got 3g 7a in 9 games. Thats very good considering he didn't register a point after coming back from his injury in the first 2 games. He also has 0 PIM so far in 9 games.

Dawes continues his outstanding playoff play, Kootenay tied up the series (1-1) yesterday night winning 3-2, Dawes had a goal and 2 assists!

Heres his playoff stats now:

4G 9A in 10 games

KTN/Dawes lost yesterday night 4-1, Dawes got an assist in the lonely goal. The last 6 goals scored by Ktn in the past 3 games Dawes has either scored it or assisted on it.

Dawes is doing well. But there are other Ranger prospects contributing in games.

I think Kozak and Byers recently had a good game in a win last week. And so did Jacob Petruzalek and Roman Psurny.

Dawes scored another goal yesterday...then some stupid goon from the other team nailed him with a huge cheapshot and injured Dawes. The player who hit him got a Major and a Game Misconduct for boarding.

No word on the injury, but people say he looked very dazed.

It was also that "Goons" fault they almost lost it to Ice since Ice scored 2 PP goals on the big goons stupid, unnecessary hit.

excuse me? are you taking some sort of pride in the fact weber crosschecked dawes from behind into the boards and injured him? does that make weber badass now? does he have l33t skills now? are you proud that he did it to "help his team win and get within 1 more win of eliminating the Ice"?

take that crap elsewhere

hey ... he didn't crosscheck him, he used his shoulder ... the penalty should have been 2 for checking from behind ... from someone who was there ... please read before posting ... thanks ... http://www.hfboards.com/showpost.php...&postcount=104

ok, i'm sorry...not crosschecked, just plain bording, sorry

I got no problem with physical play and even hitting skill players to knock them off their game, but there is a reason bording is illegal in hockey

and your gleeful attitude about it is what sickens me in this instance

So basically...

he hit him with his shoulder while he was facing the glass, and because he was hit wtih such force, he was slapped with the major. Is that right? And this was late in the game with Kelowna up and wanting to make a statement about the rest of the series so he picks on a small guy who's the team's #1 scorer and in the meantime get himself thrown out of the game and helps Kootenay tie it up and go into OT. Sounds somewhat goonish, but admittedly I didn't see it.

2 for checking from behind?? What the heck? An injury took place from a hit from behind, that an AUTOMATIC Major and a Game. Was it even near the puck? From what I heard the LINEMAN had to make the call because the referee didnt see it.

If you've read any recaps of the hit, you'll know that Dawes turned his back away from Weber, faced the boards, and bent over moments before the hit. All evidence points towards Dawes making this adjustment so late into the play that Weber had no chance to bail out. Despite being ejected from the game, Weber has not been suspended nor does it appear he will be. If that isn't support for a legal (or at least not dirty) hit, then I don't know what is.

Regardless, is Dawes going to be OK? What's his status?

Kozak got a goal and an OT assist in his teams 3-2 win in game 6 of the WHL playoffs. Byers recorded an assist in the game as well. Byers has 4 goals, 6 assists in 16 playoff games, Kozak has 6 goals, 3 assists in 16 playoff games. Game 7 is Tuesday.

for "tough guys" they seem to chip in their fair amount of offense.

Season ended for Kozak and Byers tonight in a 5-1 loss in game 7. Byers and Kozak were both a -2 with no points.
